About 4 to 5 days ago, I got into a minor accident. A teenager girl hit my in rear of my 5 mth. old XB. I was parked and waiting for the light to change. The damages was only a stratch in the rear middle of my bumper and a small dint.

My problem is the girl's auto insurance (State Farm) is waiting for her to respond to the claim. At the time of the accident, she didn't even want to give me her information. I didn't call the police, as the accident was not that major. Her insurance is stating that if she doesn't respond to the claim, she will be dropped from their insurance and my claim will too! I have her phone number, should I call her or should I wait? Is her insurance is just giving me a hard time?

I took my car to a body shop and they said they will need to replace the bumper....they quoted my $450....

To a fellow Scion owner to another...please give my some advice on what to do!

always call the police if for no other reason than to have a copy of the report to turn in to the insurance co. my dad is going thru the same thing after a woman backed into his vette while he was pumping gas. if you have full coverage on your car, you can always turn it into your ins. co. and they can settle with her ins. OH! My check,i mean neck. I think i have whipcash, i mean whiplash.

Yeah you should definitely call the police if you have any sort of accident.

Especially on how so many people want to play games and eventually get out of things because of lost communication (not on accident that's for sure!).

I bet if the police had a report their maybe a way to get them involved in getting the car fixed.

If you have her phone number.. you can go to:
http://www.whitepages.com/reverse-phone

And get her name and address. Also, if it's a couple's name listed there, then you know she still lives with her parents.. definitely call her parents!!

Yeah I'm with everyone else on this, call her up and get her to take care of it,,,Let her know you've gotten an estimate and want it repaired asap...Also be advisef that her insurance company cannot drop your claim because they drop her due to lack of communication with her...Dropping her doesn't mean they drop your claim against her...It might take some arguing and all, but if you fight for it with them, they will just go after her privately for their money back after fixing your box...
