Default Question scion members.

Anyone feel the car shift weird when driving at a constant speed? Like feel it jerk around a little? Or when driving down a hill and let go of the gas? I've read a lot of the FAQ's... and it seems like the scion has a lot of different transmission upgrades different from a car that i've driven, just trying to find out if this is normal.

Oh yeah, one more thing, when you guys cold start your car in the cold weather, before it's fully warmed up, does it feel like your car runs really shaky?

Yes and yes. The car has a funny idle. And, the transmission does seem to shift in some 'odd' places, depending on how hard you're pressing the pedal and when you let go.

The heavy downshift from stopping at a red light, and having it turn green just before you stop sort of freaked me out, but I learned to drive around it.

It's normal. If it's starting to worry you, though, by all means go in and have it checked out.

Okay, thank you very much. It was. I've never had a car do that, and it never did do it when I first got it, so i guess it's only acting like it's supposed to because it's broken in.
