OK....I've had it!
A central MS dealer has been running radio ads that have just got me all P/O'd.
2006 xB, $13995, 36 mpg and it's COROLLA-BASED!?!
I emailed Scion over a month ago, got a reply that I would need to speak with them on the phone. I spoke with someone on 8/14 and was told this would be sent to corp....
Well I called back this week. Nothing has been done. Now they seem to think it's "wrong" and are following it.
They called me just now to say that I would probably not hear back from them, as this will be taken up with the GM at the store.
UGH!!!
There is a Scion "dealer" in central MS that is a shame to the whole concept of Scion.

I really hate how you can only buy Scions at Toyota dealers.. If Scion had seperate dealerships (no matter how small they'd be) the salesmen would at least know what they're talking about (hopfully) Evrytime I've went to look at Scions the salesmen were cluless...I had to educate them.

I'm sure they are just trying to sell some Scions using the name recognition and reputation of the Corolla.....though I wouldn't want anyone calling my xB a Corolla either. Yuck.
When I was looking for my tC, the damn salesperson didn't even know there was a double glass roof! Now, I don't know about what you all think, but that's just scary. I went to another dealership with a printed out invoice from the Scion site with exactly what I wanted (wheel locks, floor mats and curtain airbags since i do all the rest aftermarket) and I was in and out in 1.5 hours. Sign/sealed and gone!!!!

a) it doesnt' get 36 mpg, and since that isn't what's in the epa box, they are lying
b) they are violating Scion covenant because dealers are not supposed to be advertising the price points.
Wait, is this a new xB? or new xB? if it's new, they are clearly out of covenant.

They don't sell enough Scions to warrant their own dealerships. They have only sold a couple of hundred thousand xA's and xB's since inception and that is less than one year's worth of corollas or camrys. It is a little disheartening to get someone at the dealership that does not know their cars. I guess the turnover is so high they never get a chance to learn.

I heard that our xB's are based off a Corola platform though. And if its just a cheaper/rewrapped version of a toyota then Id believe that....but someone fill me in if im wrong?!
