First off, i know this is a repost,,, but i just want to add to it.

So i jsut got a brand new scion xa, off a waiting list and was very excited once it got in. My order was placed with the Scion Alarm, noted numerous times on the phone, fax, and in person.

i now have some checkmate alarm,,, and never even got a scion remote

And to make things better they charged 599 !!!!


Isn't the retail for the scion alarm 499? and isnt it sopose to be the not so good but atleast what i paid for Scion Alarm system ? im guessing the rs3200?

Depending on your location, it could be $599. Other places could be cheaper.

Have you done research on this Checkmate alarm? (i never heard of it so i cant judge it)

But I do aftermarket alarm with install (Viper 560xv) for $100 where i live. Better range than factory, more features.

Where did you get the car? I had this problem at Atlantic Toyota although I only paid $499. I raised absolute hell and got them to replace it.

Scion alarm is pure crap anyway, but yes, if they gave you the wrong item, take it up with the dealership. Or - contact Scion directly.
