Default hey guys i'm a lil new here

i'll be gettin my box in a few months so for now i'm saving up for a couple mods

i'm not sure if i should get a stick or an automatic

i get pretty bored driving around my moms accord and yes it's automatic

do you think it would be a good idea for me to get a stick cuz i pretty much just want one based on the fact that it will look much better to have a modified car and a stick than be one of those wannabe's that watch fast and furious too much that own a freakin rice rocket driving around with an automatic thinkin that they all that

but then again i'm pretty lazy and i can't stand it when i have to step on the brakes

it irritates me that i have to stop for any reason whatsoever

oh and why is it that the used xb's with about 40K on it are couple thousand dollars more than a new one

Get a stick. I seriously regret my auto.

And demand drives that used price. xBs are in great demand and sport one of the lowest number of days on dealer lots of all cars sold in the US.

would it be better if i got a new one than used

my mom wants me to get a used one so that the insurance won't go up

but i don't wanna pay extra bucks to buy someone elses car

i want mine fresh out of the box and not used by some other freak that didn't appreciate his or her toaster

They will be gone very soon with none made after December. You may have to get a used one. Not sure why a used one would be less to insure as they would be about the same value. Have you checked with your insurance?

I don't get where people come up with the insurance increase on new cars thing. A lot of companies give discounts for the car being new.

its instinct for most, new car, that means the insurance has got to be high on it, naw, now if you buy a 2006 rousch(sp) mustang, than you might have high insurance, sports car, with a V8, ya, correct me if im wrong there. Our xBs with the 1.5 is no sports car, lol._

Get a stick . . . because you WANT a stick! (No other reason will suffice.)

if your'e going to drive it daily in stop and go commuter traffic, then it MUST be an automatic. Think how many times you use the clutch in bumper to bumper commuting.

I live in a rural area, and my XB is my toy, so 5-speed it was.

why would you get a stick? the box is nothing more than a cruiser. you cant race it, why would you? plus if you live in a high traffic area and again bumper to bumper traffic the hell with the stick. A ports car should be a stick, G35, M3, Porche but why a box, I have an automatic and i absolutely love it.

LA traffic doesn't bother me one bit

i'm used to it

now i'm mostly in the santa ana area because of school and work

either way if i'm in LA or santa ana, i never hit traffic because of the hours i drive

if i'm ever in LA i'd usually go on the weekends or drive there durin grave shift hours

and if i'm ever in santa ana i'm only there from the morning til about 12 which is great because around here people usually walk over to the mall to eat because nobody's willing to give up there parkin spot

and i'd rather get a stick because i get bored very easily and no i don't plan on racing the box and i never said that i would

i wouldn't wanna ruin it and i don't like racing on the streets in broad daylight

i'd rather be in the middle of the desert where nobody's at....driftin like crazy...in an actual sports car [i don't even consider the tc to be a sports car]

but i wouldn't want to drift in any car that i own...i'd rather screw around with someone else's ride so that i won't have to worry about messing the car up

i want a white one for sure..no doubt

paint the top part black and call it my "panda box"

and get a blue pinstripe

i want some 1000 spoke rims with lip, not sure what size yet [not the gold ones...eww]

i don't want big ones..i want my car to look cute not all pimped out

i'm wonderin if i should get it lowered, but my friends are telling me no because they think that i'll scrape the bottom [which i probably would]

i wanna make some little cubby things on the bottom of the front seats, like the one in my dad's caravan, so that way i'll have some place to put my crap in

tinted windows of course...i don't like asian people starin at me while i'm driving [i have a serious case of road rage]

the inside will be painted i think white with some black

change the color of the AC buttons, ignition light, the meter things, the clock and i wanna change the locks because they look real old school like my moms old 85 toyota van [all square lookin]

clear the corners, shave off the stupid windshield wiper that's absolutely useless

get a boomerang armrest because i'm lazy

change the emblem to that Bb one and get some nice seat covers

not sure what body kit i'd want...there's a few nice ones out there..maybe later

grill...still thinkin about the design for that

i'm still thinkin about more stuff but for now this is good enough for me

i can't wait to get my car - i'm gonna camp inside my car as soon as i get it

If you're not gonna race it then just get an automatic. People have enough distractions in L.A. than to have to deal with shifting.

don't worry i'm used to the traffic

when i'm in LA i'm usually there durin grave shift hours and when there's barely any people on the streets

i'm not one of those people that get distracted in LA

been there, done that, seen everythin, nothin new...so what's to look at?

more trash, bums on skid row, graffitti, more trash, more bums, more graffitti

yes such beauty

but yeah automatic is good

i'm still thinkin of gettin stick though...i need somethin to keep me entertained while i'm driving

driving stick isn't a hastle for me at all...when i drive my brothers civic [stick] and then drive my moms honda right after [auto]...sometimes i accidently try to shift the gears

so yeah in the parkin lot my car went from forward to reverse one time

after that my mom hesitates to let me drive her car after using my brothers

my mom doesn't want me driving auto no more because she thinks i'll break it [i'm sure she's right]

i don't plan on gettin stick to race...it's just weird for me to not have much movement while i'm driving

i feel like i'm just sitting there...i've driven stick for so long that it bothers me when i drive a car that doesn't have it

i don't know...we'll see what's available

if they don't have stick i'm not gonna stress...just as long as they have a white one

But he said "it would be a good idea for me to get a stick cuz i pretty much just want one" and that's all that matters!
