Halo HID are electric. (pix)
I must say, http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48458 has been amazing to work with. I ordered my 6000k HID at like 4pm on thursdays, and had them dropped off early sat morning! The install was crazy easy, for this kit; everything is truly plug and play. Now that i do see the level of light, i kind of wish i had picked up the 8000ks. I will try and get some night pix a little later, but this is what i have as of now.

Why do you wish you had picked up the 8k? I ask because thats what I'm ordering, everyone on newtib said that the 8k was a little easier on oncoming drivers, plus I wanted to have a little more blue. Anyhow I should have mine in this week, I got a relay to go with the kit so we'll see if that makes the install a little harder. Nice job though, can't wait for some night pictures........

does the halo kit come with a wiring harness like those kits off ebay? Im interested in the harness that doesnt get power from your original harness in case it fries something later on. Ive seen kits where it has relays already inline and gets power and ground from the battery.

Im not going to BS here, I just like the way the 8000ks look..Although the 6000ks still look really good. You dont "need" projectors when running HIDs, but most people do. Even without projectors, you still get a much better type of light over OEM. I think im just going to wait till someone comes out with a well priced well build projector....im in no rush.

defintliy look better on clear days
, people aim their lights a tad bit lower to be safe
next time on a heavy rainy night, turn on your high beams, you'll see the water from the rain fall will reflect light right back at you.
i was once driving in a storm and it was so bad i had to drive 30 on a 65 highway. low beams doesn't get me that vision ahead, and high beams made it worst. The truck driver and bus driver was like in front of me going slow too, and their water that they pick up on their wheels... man, i could not see anything
snow is worst since it's solid and it's white (reflects more light)
never experience bad fog before, so no comments there. Heard it as just as bad

Just installed my set. The box arrived at work so I went down to the parking garage and was up and running in 15 minutes. I personally don't think an updated wire harness is necessary since I've used kits like these on my mom's E320 as well as my Honda 600RR. If my motorcycle wiring can handle HIDs, I think my TC will as well. Pics when I don't have class.
