In a first for Koon's Scion in Westminister, MD, they have announced that, with the participation and cooperation of Team ScioNRG - MD Chapter, they will be holding their first show on October 7th, 2006, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

The shows events currently include*:

- Raffle-style giveaways every hour, starting at 1pm
- Car judging & trophies
- RC Car Racing (with RC Cars PROVIDED)
- Free Hamburgers/Hot Dogs + Red Bull

*Registration Begins at 11am*


* - Event is in final stages of preparations, and some things may be changed, added, or removed.

different Koons. that one is in Annapolis, this one is about an hour and a half (depending on how you drive) northwest.

How large is the lot where the show will be setup... as in how many cars will it fit?

 

I can give you a firm answer to that later today. I'm heading up there for an oil change and alignment in a few minutes.

 

the show is from 12-7 now instead of 12-6

 

Sitting here at Mike's desk, here is the official word from him on space.

We have the whole side of the lot to ourselves and if we need more space, we will make it.l

 

Everything about this show is free to all, If you have a Scion in the show you get 5 chances to win merc those spectators who test drive Scions get a chance at merch, This includes a full detail, oil change, t shirts, stereo equip of some kind ( not sure what yet ) from Westminster Speed and Sound. Plenty of room for all

Damn it. That's where I got my tC. I would go but I've already signed up for a Lexus drive at FedEx field .

 

GRAND PRIZE IN THE RAFFLE IS A $350 JBL SPEAKER UPGRADE THAT IS COMPATIBLE FOR ALL SCIONS.

 

Damn.............well, I probobly wouldn't win since I've just got bolt on everything. No visual other than gauge/HVAC/door and steering wheel LEDS........

 

The raffle has nothing to do with the car except if you show your car that is how you get the tickets so anybody can win.

 

Is this still on "Rain or Shine"?

I've been told that as long as it isn't pouring down rain, the show will go on.

 

I would like to thank everyone at Koons Scion of Westminister,I had a great time and made out like a "Fat Rat".
I got "Best in show" and "Highest Mileage Scion" they were having drawings every hour and I also got a free full detail,back pack,umbrella and a ice scraper.
And most of all I would like to thank Mark Landry "Cyyclopse" For giving me a carbon fiber dash kit..
And everybody that took pictures if you would post them,My camera walked at a show awhile back and I havent got around to replacing it yet.

All in all, it was a good day for the first show at Koon's. Weather could have cooperated a bit more than it did, but, it's a hit or miss as anyone knows.

Thanks again to Mike for turning to me and NRG to help out with the event, and to Westminister Speed & Sound for the very gracious donation of JBL Audio Equiptment for the grand prize raffle.

Hope to have a better turnout in the spring when we go in for Round 2.
