Default royal purple

I got my first oil change on my tc and used royal purple with a K&N filter, big difference. Its smoother, more powerfull, quieter, and seems to respond faster. If i were rich I'd do it again, but i think i'll stick with the mobile 1. I'd say their about even, but the M1 is a lot less $$$. Just thought it might be usefull.

royal purple is a waste, and theres no reason for it... ESPECIALLY in a 2.4 econobox motor.. any difference you "feel" is mental. trust me on this

Well look on the bright side, you won't need to change your oil for about a year now! Changing your oil prematurely, especially if it's synthetic, doesn't help a damn thing so please don't contribute to the climbing rate of petroleum consumption.

I wouldn't venture as far as that Scion shift as some of us are not making "economical" numbers.

I recently switched from Mobile 1 to Royal Purple and could still hear a definate difference in the engine. Royal Purple seems to make the car run much smoother and quieter so I'm happy with my investment. My car makes 300whp on the dyno, but I did not really feel any change in power. I do notice the smoother motor. The highway noise is completely different now and the only thing I can hear on the highway is the slight resonance coming from the Ingalls ETD (which doesn't sound bad at all).

Hope that helps. But yes I do stand for Royal Purple. I run their tranny fluid too (synchro shift) and love that product as well. Both get a thumbs up in my book.

Royal purple has been proven to increase power however you need to do your engine, and transmission. We're talkin like 4-5 ponies on a big v8 car though. So if anything i would say you maybe gain one hp.

Royal Purple is GREAT. That's all that I use on my car. Oil, tranny fluid, power steering, and even the radiator additive. You can definately hear a difference after switching to Royal Purple like everyone is saying.

But seriously... it's a waste of money unless you really really want your engine to feel smoother or you need the best possible protection.

You know why it's smoother? It's brand new oil. And your brain is telling you that $10+ a quart better feel like silk. Mental gains to the power of ten.

I don't know why you guys are making such a big stink... if they want to spend mucho $$$ to pamper their cars, let them.

If Royal Purple does what it says it does, then it'll help keep their engines in much better condition for a much longer time.

Does it really matter? Probably not, but they want their cars to have "the best".

Do people really need to buy 40 dollar hair shampoo that smells like cinnamon rolls? No, but it's supposed to be "the best" and so they use it!

There are a ton of motor oil brands to choose from, if they want to buy one of the most expensive. That's their bag and their car.

Royal Purple is very good oil, up there with Motul and Red Line.

Those of you who think cheaper is just as good, go ahead and use the cheaper stuff, in the case of a stock car they will work and be sufficient. But studies and common sense should tell you that a $1 case of one brand is not the same as a $10 case of a competing brand. Such high prices are the result of something more than marketting and paying for image, they have to do with something called quality and craftsmanship.
