Anyone add the xb throttle body spacer yet? any noticable difference,

 

I was hoping someone would independantly and dyno before and after... as most of us strongly doubt it will help on a fuel railed, injected car... Someone hop on it and do it!

 

Looks tempting. Someone spot the cash and I'm on it... better yet I'll write a full review too haha.

^ My opinion as well.... just waiting for the independant confirmation, as it's the ONLY way we can show it for certain.

 

It actually works for CARBURETED vehicles, because it allows the fuel/air mixture more time to atomize, and sometimes increased velocity. On a MPEFI engine (nearly all modern ones,) all this mod will do is increase throttled volume which will negatively affect throttle response, but probably not a noticable amount.

 

Any MPEFI engines that have benifited from a TB spacer that anyone knows of???

 

MM... The VQ engines on Nissan's, and some Toyota trucks.

 

and if you have a aftermarket air intake of any kind it would through off the mounting alignment way off

 

on my 01 dodge dakota a tb spacer helped..

 

they worked very well on the 3.5L Mopar engines.....

No it didn't Willangford. It was the palcebo affect. Throttle body spacers have no affect on performance where an engine uses multi-port fuel injection. They can help on motors that use throttle body injection.

You can check with any of the companies that specialize in Mopar truck performance. Not a single one worth a crap will sell you a throttle body spacer.

Only if they have more money than sense...

 

I have heard they are a waist of time and money cause if you dyno it you will notice atleast a 5hp loss and that is in about every vehicle I have seen it in. The chevy s10, rangers, toyota t100, F250s all these had a noticable hp loss.

 

i've got one on mine ...........feels more responsive.......i am
only using a butt dyno tho,,,,,,,,and if i'm mistaken our engines are not multi port injected. that is why we have a throttle body and not four individual injectors.

 

they Are muti-point injected, and all multi-point injected vehicles have a throttle body.
