Default Top 5 road trip cd's

Okay so I couldn't sleep last night so after laying in the bed awake for half an hour I decided to go down to the family room and fire up the tv. After channel surfing for a bit I put in one of the best movies of all time, High Fidelity. So I thought a thread with a top 5 list would be in order for today. Here it goes, top 5 road trip cd's
1 DJ P- Suck my mixx
2 Angels & Airwaves-No need to whisper
3 Dr Dre- The chronic
4 Jack Johnson- can't remember the title(it's got a yellow cover)
5 Pixies-Greatest hits
honorable mention DJ Z-Trip& DJ P- Uneasy listening volume 1

What are your top 5?

Love KMFDM!!! Does Sacha still live in Washington? Did you buy the new compilation? I thought it was kinda stupid for those of us who have all of the other albums.

I won't bother to list artists, etc., but I'll say that out of the two dozen CDs in my xB, several are my "long drive" CDs.

They are MP3 CDs that run just over 6 hours each. One is a very up-beat, rather loud set of mostly AOR, jazz, and such, another is a much quieter mix of jazz, big band, etc. I also have a 6+ hour CD of assorted classicical, leaning toward Russian and German composers, and a 6+ hour mix of "New Age"...

Works pretty well for me - just pop in the 'set' that fits current mood, and drive.

I had kind of a similar mindset. I don't have CD's with specific artists, I have "mood" CD's. One is hard rock, one rock, alternative, classical, and a few others. Listening to rock, then some dumb driver cuts me off. Instead of getting mad, I just pop in the hard rock CD and I am good again

No one rocks an MP3 player?

I have a Creative Zen Vision:M that's loaded with right around 3,000 songs. I find I'm listening to a lot of Led Zepp lately...

I have an iPod, too. It's hard to narrow it down to a few songs, as it's soo about the mood and the drive. But if I had to pick, I'd say Johnny Cash, Ben Harper, MIA, Nick Drake, and Banco de Gaia.
