View Full Version : NB was a bad choice!
Thealexstop 09-20-2006, 10:55 PM I thought it would be cool to get a car that matched my watch...bad idea...NB is way to hard to keep clean! Also, i have owned the car for a week and a half, and there are already scratches/door bumps! :flame: I hate parking lots. Note to Pre-Tc owners, get a light color. End of rant.
nfiniti9 09-20-2006, 11:06 PM Exactly why I got my AP. I loved the NB but I knew it would be impossible to keep clean/scratch-free. Also I was tired of the heat, I have a black Integra also. My tC is soooo much cooler and still havent gotten one visible scratch 1.3 years later.
gomdangie 09-20-2006, 11:32 PM if NB is hard to keep it clean..........

Reese 09-20-2006, 11:36 PM muhahahaha FM is a b*tch to keep clean any freaking dark color is a b*tch to keep clean. I just bought a new 06' Pathfinder in the Majestic Blue and its just as bad as the FM it shows all the dirt. :P If you want a clean color go with Silver

Ah...is there a glitch in The Matrix? j/k! You're so true about going with silver. It hides dirt very well. If you have a dark colored car, invest in a California Duster. After you break the duster in, it works really good.
Reese 09-21-2006, 01:50 AM ^^^ rofl
Thealexstop 09-21-2006, 02:27 AM I was going to get silver, but my last car was, so i was like "hmmm, i need a change"....bad idea. I cant wait for winter...and salt. :tap: grrrr!
mike6789k 09-21-2006, 02:38 AM  look at you fools complaining about keeping your cars clean...

BuddhasTC 09-21-2006, 02:50 AM did you really buy a car based on it matching the color of ur watch? :eyebrow: :ponder:
TeeCizzle 09-21-2006, 04:12 AM Duh!!..its called Car Care Maintenance!!...I have a FM I clean it 2 times a day!!...If you do that its NOT very hard to keep a Dark Color looking Sweet!...Takes some "TLC"...
Thats why you have to Park wayout and find an end spot so nobody ever parks next to you!!...then thats how u prevent door dings!!
kdog_1981 09-21-2006, 12:47 PM yea just clean more often but...i am not sure about twice a day...lol....good luck with that!! that will end fast!
gomdangie 09-21-2006, 03:30 PM Thats why you have to Park wayout and find an end spot so nobody ever parks next to you!!...then thats how u prevent door dings!!
i did that and someone rear ended my car while it was in the parking lot
Neothin 09-21-2006, 04:28 PM you weren't far away enough from civilization then.

TeeCizzle 09-22-2006, 02:27 AM ^^ Exactly....
U also get great exercise too from the long walk!
sosgal721 09-22-2006, 03:42 PM I don't get any scratches on my blitz blue mica, but there is a problem with bird crap. They seem to be attracted to my car...i get a huge clump of it usually once a day, it's gross. And I look around at other cars parked around me, no bird crap on their cars!
XD40tC 09-22-2006, 03:45 PM I like the color but yeah, too much work! I shouldve gotten the super white the dealership had comming in... it was 5spd too... lol

citizen01 09-22-2006, 08:42 PM um... you realize that that watch retails for more than your car right?
Paragon 09-22-2006, 08:46 PM Hmm maybe half the car value?

citizen01 09-22-2006, 08:51 PM you get the idea... 100 dollar watch equals 17000 dollar car 10000 dollar watch equals ferrari/lambourghini/etc. Am I wrong?
Neothin 09-22-2006, 08:52 PM still expensive as hell!

I have to agree with you. In fact, I just cleaned a huge spot off of my hatch today. I'm always looking for crap, because of all the "horror" stories on SL about bird crap messing up the paint.
paul34 09-23-2006, 04:06 AM wow a submariner? Fine taste in watches I see, eh? Good man
But yea, luckily, bird crap isn't a problem (so far). I have problems with water spots, which aren't as threatening, but we do have a lovebug problem recently. Which reminds me, I took it out for probably the longest trips its ever been on today (25 minutes, and I was actually able to take it to 65 for more than 30 seconds! lol)
crap! I meant to go check but forgot... this thread has reminded me! I have to go check my car for squashed lovebugs! ugh! lets hope there's nothing there.. :nails:
Neothin 09-23-2006, 05:52 AM wow, 65? I think you need to learn to use that rightmost pedal better there ashish..... ;)
Hyghgynx 09-23-2006, 03:19 PM People still wear watches? :P My celly has a clock, so I don't wear a watch. I'm not a jewerly-wearing kinda guy.
Be a nice guy and give me you 'Lex so I can sell it and furnish my NEW house!
Thealexstop 09-23-2006, 03:22 PM hmmm......blue on gold rims......i do like the way you think.
bBlover 09-23-2006, 03:43 PM I try to park as far as possible, and I try to park next to Scions or cars that I know they won't hit my whip. Yesterday I parked n between a BSP tC and a RX-8 :P
EPIDEMIC 09-23-2006, 05:01 PM haha i bought the white because i wear mostly white and also tc looks soooooooooo sexy in sw
tcality 09-23-2006, 10:49 PM did you really buy a car based on it matching the color of ur watch? :eyebrow: :ponder:

That's a gamble with your decision based on the color of your watch and you lost.
Shoulda waited for RS 2.0 if blue is your mood. Not too dark nor too bright.
eLpReSiDeNtE 09-24-2006, 02:57 AM who buys a 17 grand car to match an 100 dollar watch....ding ding!!!
Thealexstop 09-25-2006, 03:03 AM who buys a 17 grand car to match an 100 dollar watch....ding ding!!!
:eyebrow: 100bux eh?
roflitzjinno 09-25-2006, 03:35 AM quit being a _____. everyone knows black is the hardest color alive to keep clean. you can see ANYTHING on black.
Yes NB is a a pain to keep clean, scratches show up like no other, and it looks horrible when dirty, but for the half day after a full detail... nothing comes close to the sexiness.
eLpReSiDeNtE 09-25-2006, 04:11 AM yeah i got a BSP and even after u put it thru the car wash and u dont dry it 100% the left over water drips freakin stain it....ahhhhh
