Or has it been since that I own an xB, I get into a lot of close encounters with birds?

I'll never forget this one time where I was driving down a back road and a pigeon on the side of the road was taking off 10 feet in front of me. As the bird was flying away from my car, I closed in on the pigeon really fast and he was about grill/hood high of the box. That bird must have gotten NOS in his system cuz as soon as I slightly touched his tail feather, that ____er just flew away in a flash.

Just like all the other bird-brained people out here.

Always lots of bugs. Think I have hit at least 10 birds, all at highway speeds. No damage. Wonder if the shape makes less outside wind noise, so they don't hear it coming down the road or what?

This didn't happen to me, but my Uncle was driving home in his Suburban when he hit a seagull. He was going 80+MPH so you can imagine the damage that it did to his car. New winshield, New Coat of Paint for the front end, etc. I can't imagine what it would be like calling your insurance company and explaining what happened...
