Default wow ...i under estimated my box

i raced my friends turbo bug last night.man was i ever surpriced.my mod aint much.just and exhaust,lowerd,strut bar stock rims.i have a 2005 xb with a 5
speed tranny.he has a 2002 turbo bug with an exhaust and 18 inch wheels.(not chrome)
i was sure that he was gonna beat me so when we lined up he told me that i could have a head start so i took it.it wasnt much though.as soon as i took of i hear him take right about a second after.we only raced about 1/8th of a mile but still..............he could not catch up.i beat him by a car and a half. wow i thought that he was gonna beat me for sure.i know he gave me a small head start so i didnt brag.he asked me if i did anything to by car and i said no.i guess he was surpriced too.ive raced him with my nissan titan before and i just tore him a new one with that.now that he could nt catch up to my box he really hates his bettle

THose 18" wheels slowed him down. Have him put on stock wheels and he'll beat you. Lesson of the story: stick with lighter smaller wheels.

lol 1/8th mile lol
man he would hand you your @$$ in the 1/4......i have a 2.0 N/A bug and i can take my bros XB head to head and my girl friend has a turbo bug and she beats me by 2-3 cars in the 1/4 mile. trust me 1/8 mile is not near enough time for that turbo to really get moving...was the bug a stick or auto...auto will run much slower then the stick

Yeah, Scions won't ever be POS, sell very slowly, be expensive, or Made in Mexico. Flintgauge, I 2nd ur opinion! But the old bugs are exempt from my opinion. But not the new ones that come with flowers. Evosky, I'll take ur TRDs off ur hands!

^^^^^I'm not sure if your slamming me or not?^^^^^ My 72 Super Beetle didn't have a flower holder, and I wouldn't drive a car that included one as standard.....

Slowness??? The turbo beetle will barely make 0-60 in 7 seconds... The N/A Celica GTS did it in 6.8... and once again, a car that comes with flowers and a holder is definately not a mans car. Come on, just look at the color selection! The scions are unisex, the beetle is a girls car. And atleast I post on this site having once owned a scion... Vdubbugman. Definately shows where your hearts at. Not with scion.

I just double checked my specs. The Turbo S beetle will do 0-60 in 7.4 secs ( the stock tC will do that easy) the regular turbo does 0-60 in 8.6 The Camry Hybrid does it in 8.9!!! The N/A beetle... 10.3 seconds. You better leave early for work if you drive an N/A bug.
