i think they r slick. jus gotta make sure they go with the rest of the cars theme, they say stealth to me. Those would be perfect for a black xb w/ dark tints and that blackout jdm headlight/grille cover

They look great but they're dim, more so than the red/clear ones. Dangerous in the daytime from posts I've read here on SL.

They seem like they would be nice on a darker color.

I just installed some myself about an hour ago. The brake lights seem very dim in the daytime, I haven't tested them at night. I might just tint the brake section red and put the stock white bulb back in.

We had these on my wife's xB and we have tried almost every bulb imaginable. We did standard bulbs with bulb condoms, aftermarket colored bulbs, Superbright LEDs, and even bought our own commercial bulb tint (Colorine) and tinted our own bulbs. None of it gave satisfactory results. All of the tinted bulbs and condoms faded over time. The LED lights don't work because even though they are brighter, they don't "throw" light like a standard bulb.

If you want to be safe, you might as well forget installing them. Helix doesn't even sell them anymore. Only the red and clear version.

Now I do plan on running these on my xB, once I actually purchase it. But I won't be doing it in stock form. I'll likely be doing either substantial modification to the housings themselves, or trying a couple of other tricks.

There are Helixes in Japan that are all clear, like the red/clear ones but the top half too. I was thinkinh about finding a set of those and modding em...
