The great thing about my vinyl ones is that they come flush with the hood and fensers. They dont stick up
. Plus they're hell of alot cheaper! A nice option to the fiberglass versions
Bat™

The cliche "You get what you pay for" applies here. True, Bat's are cheaper. But if you want it to look more natural and stock, polyurathane is the way to go. Lines maybe flush with the vinyl ones, but the height and quality of the polys (when properly put on) are unsurpassed. Only downside about the polys is you have to get them color-matched.
when you compare these to vinyl you are comparing apples to oranges...........
ture, they cost more but are more durable, but you have to pay to play..........
If you want them to be perfect, there is a guy selling C/F eyelids, we put a set on a 05 m3, they are perfect, they fit flush, more rigid and cost about the same, either paint them or leave them as is.
hyghgynx said it "cheaper" cheaper is the operative word, cheap means just that, CHEAP.
i am not one to cut corners or do something cheap just so i can have the "look" i would rather spend much more to get them done right and have a better quality product.
i dont know this guy, im not promoting his gear, i just have people PM me daily about them.

I had the 'Paintable' eyelids and wasn't happy with them. As I mentioned in another thread on here, no body shops in my area would paint flexable 'paintable' eyelids.
So, I had to send them back to the manufacturer and have them painted at additional cost, shipping, etc.
Got them back within a week, and the paint cracked while I was putting them on.
Similar story with the Carbon Fiber eyelids. No bodyshop in my area was willing to paint them.
Eventually, I got tired of getting laughed out of body and paint shops, and sold them off.
When a primed, ready to go paintable, rigid eyelid comes out for the tC, I'll be one of the first to buy it. Until then, I haven't been satisfied with EITHER the CF type or the 'paintable' type.
They do look good on that car, though.

yeah, i was concerned about that issue. The guy who did the painting does alot of polyurathane body kits and such, he painted my front lip spoiler etc. as well. I think alot of body shops wont touch those types of spot painting jobs, its not even worth there time unless they are already painting something else. also they need to add flex agent and its not a problem.......but I hear you.
the rigid are the best way to go........
