I have everything to put the blacked out fuel door on but need to find out what size bit to drill out the old rivets dminner 09-25-2006, 03:32 PM wont be hard to figure out, just start off small and keep going up in size. Jnd9680 10-11-2006, 01:17 AM Does anyone have a round about idea the size drill bit I need to drill out the rivets ayS 10-11-2006, 01:36 AM TRD Fuel door? i didn't know they made such a thing? got any pics of it? :) Jnd9680 10-27-2006, 12:05 AM Would it be easier to line up a drill bit size to the new rivets that they supplied to me dminner 10-27-2006, 02:24 AM You still have done this yet? This is what I am talking about, line the drill bit up, which ever one looks right choose a size smaller (the tighter the fit the better). If the first hole is small use the next size bit to make the hole bigger. If your scared to dig into a project mabye you should just get it installed by someone, but this is really basic stuff. bBism 10-27-2006, 12:11 PM TRD Fuel door? i didn't know they made such a thing? got any pics of it? :) here is mine http://www.kickasscustoms.com/cpg/displayimage.php?album=32&pos=26 salteen 10-27-2006, 12:23 PM omg where can I get that!? ayS 10-27-2006, 03:07 PM nice, a see through fuel door. El_Jorge 10-27-2006, 07:04 PM omg where can I get that!? Seen them on ebay for around $120ish....I think Looks good in person kzhorse 10-28-2006, 08:05 PM Nothing bigger than 1/4" drill bit as that is as close to the hole in non metric size. All you have to do is drill the head of the pop rivit off not drill all the way thru,Does it come with new rivits or does it bolt on? That is how I got mine off when I replaced my door (I used bolts) was cheaper than a pop rivit gun big enough for the rivits. Scott Jnd9680 10-29-2006, 11:36 AM It came with rivets and I beleive I have a pop rivet gun big enough for them N2BNHI 10-30-2006, 07:35 AM I usually use a 1/8" drill bit to drill out rivets. |
