Default Which car is better... For a student?

Which car do you think is better for a student, who works, needs?

The xB, tC, or xA?

I have a long daily commute, and probably will have one during the summer too (Clearwater to Orlando and back six days a week for three months)...

tC is a much better highway car, having owned both a tC and xB.

tC looks much better than the other two, but if you want better gas mileage, go with either the xA or xB. I bought the tC cause it looks better that the other two models in my opinion.

I think the tC looks the best,
the xB is the roomiest right? And, the xA is the most uncommonly seen.
There are tons of tCs and xBs I see here...

Which is better for long-term value? I'll probably have this car for a long time, ya know?

The xB and xA's extra doors don't matter, I won't be carrying many people.. Just myself.

XA is the cheapest and since you are 15 I think a XA would be a better match for a first car.

Yup... Starting around 13 grand, you can't go wrong with an xA. You don't want to burry yourself in debt.

very true, for a student, financially the xA is better. My recommendation was based on the fact that he would be commuting long distances, most likely on the highway.

xa or xb are great cars, but they don't come with cruise control... so if the commute has a lot of highway miles then this might be something you'd want out of the tC... plus, the tC is the only one with a sunroof (these to factors got me into a tC, plus the alloy wheels since the xa and xb have hubcap covers too)

I know there's not much to go by since they're fairly new over here,
but which car lasts longer wear and tear wise? Regular wear and tear that is...

I like how the xB feels when sitting in it, I can actually see over the hood to the ground, on most other cars I can't, I'm kind of short (5"7)...

Honestly, I think the tC is a better for a "RESPONSIBLE" student on the long run. lol. It's a fun car and also sporty, I think it's a car that a person can grow with. I think I'm keeping the tC for a while. Just get the spec tC, can't go wrong, it's 15gs too. 31mpg is really not bad mileage at all.

How is the tC with roominess on the driver's side? I like to be semi-comfortable as I used to be claustrophobic when younger... I have no use for the sunroof lol :p.

MPG is important, as I will have to afford gas while paying for insurance and such too lol...

How does it do highway? I have to drive for about an hour on the highway to get to school...

Anything but the tC, it's too easy to get tempted and drive like an idiot. There are too many "I wrecked my tC threads" around here and it's no coincidence many of them are started by people under 25. Responsibility starts with knowing what you need, not what you want, and right now you need basic transportation; the xA and xB provides that and a little more.

I'd with the xB. You like the visibility and roominess. It gets good gas mileage and maintenance is cheap. Since you don't seem like the mods/race/spend money type, go with the xB.

I'm not too big on mods,
other than changing the head unti and adding a navigation system (if you can call that modding), I doubt I'd do anything else lol. Nope don't race, but I do plan to take some of those classes they advertise for emergency driving or whatever...

Besides, I'm too paranoid about car theft to put a ton of money in mods, I'll just satistfy myself with looking at all you guys/girls' mods on here :D.

Another question, does the difference in Stick and Auto really matter when it comes to gas mileage? I can drive both...
