Default sirius satalite FM modulator and poor reception

ive have sirius satalite in my car, its the small visor model... i love it but i get really lousy reception. i have it set up the standard way with the units FM modulator however i get horrible reception, lots of static... plus i drive all over the north part of jersey and constantly run into areas with the low band free FM stations make my sirius reception even worse... im attributing the poor reception to the xBs poor radio reception in general, but hey im not complaining bout that i love the fact i dont have an antennea on my car... i also heard that through the FM modulator the satalite doesnt broadcast in stereo... so my question is, can i hook my unit up to my stereo? i have an 04 so theres no aux port, is there a clean way i can run a wire to the back on my head unit? is there a jack on the head unit i can utilize?

thanks
-joe

Go get the wired FM modulator. Cost like $20 at Circuit City or Best Buy. called SIRIUS FM Module Relay (DEI 14110).

Since you are using the DEI Visor, It should work fine.

Wireless FM modulation SUCKS. Direct Connect is the best option or next best is the Wired FM modulator.

I have an 06 with an aux jack... I had an XM Roady xt. The FM modulated sounded like crap so I thought I would try an after market modulator... Same problems... Next I tried the Aux jack... Again same problem... So I sold all my satalite crap and I am waiting to buy a XM ready h/u.

I bought the FM Module relay for my Sirius and it works FANTASTIC, well worth the $20 bucks. Get it.
