RTon20s 10-02-2006, 08:44 PM Spec Stage 3 is $340 on their website. The Stage 2+ is $380 on their site. fusionscion 10-04-2006, 04:42 PM really... i might jump on that instead.... is spec a reputable company? RTon20s 10-04-2006, 06:22 PM I haven't dealt with them personally. HotBox05 (Darren) here on Scionlife has a Spec Stage 2+ on his xB and loves it. He also added a steel braided clutch line and said it made a big improvement as well. He is n/a though with no serious performance modification. You can probably PM him and ask about his car and what he thinks of the clutch. fusionscion 10-04-2006, 06:27 PM think the stage 3 from spec will hold up to zpi's turbokit? by this i mean 185+ hp RTon20s 10-04-2006, 09:11 PM I have no doubt that the Stage 3 kit could handle pretty much whatever the ZPI kit could throw at it. I'm sure you'll start snapping axles before you destroy a Stage 3 clutch. Just for reference, the Stage 3 for the Corolla's 1.8 is rated at 299 ft./lbs. Far more than any 1NZ-FE will ever produce without some serious work. The Stage 2+ and Stage 2 for the same car are rated at 285 and 262 respectively. Also, the spec Stage 3 for the old Honda 1.5 is rated at 230 ft./lbs. This is probably more in line with the Stage 3 for the 1NZ-FE will hold. |
