Default '07 Auto to manual

Okay, I bought an auto tC '07 and I now have about 2k on it, but i really really want the manual. What could I do so that I could spend almost nothing to trade it in for the manual '07. Would it cost me extra to do that even if it is in mint condition and I would be moving to a less expensive car or what. What would be my options or should i just stick to auto?

You'll take a big hit on trade in but if you really want manual go for it.

Damnit another person that made the mistake I did. There should be a sticky somewhere here that says the auto is slow and you should get a manual instead.

^^ true! I test drove the auto (because I couldn't drive stick at the time, I still fully intended to get a 5spd however), and it wouldn't go anywhere! It was like "ok, I'll take my time getting places."

Plus I think there was really something wrong with the tC I was in, because the brake pedal was VERY tight, and the brakes would NOT stop the car until the very last second! It was a little scary driving a car that wasn't yours and possibly getting into an accident... I made it back to the dealership ok. I should've said something to that guy, but with my experience with that dealer, he probably wouldn't have understood what I was saying.
