Hey, Im a rookie her and just thought id say hi. I went with my girlfriend car shopping lastweek and she ended up buying a tc. Upon leaving I noticed this little grey box sitting in the showroom. WOW!!!!!! I have a dodge 4x4 that i bought 4 years ago. I spend 280 bucks in gas a month and pull a groin once a week getting in it. So after getting gas again i said thats it, I went right down to scion and bought me the xb. This is a cool ride. I coudnt imagine spending so little and getting so much. I;ve only put 50 miles on her but I cant wait to wake up and drive. So thats my story and it;s good to be here<---- Sorry its almost 1am and that was a little cheesy.

I think we all had that same cheesiness when we first got our box. I put almost 1500 miles on mine the first week. The box is "my" first car and I'm lovin it. Welcome to the family bro.

Kudos for dumping the 4x4 if you didn't need it. A friend of mine had the same truck as his commuter car, except he went to the extreme of buying a Prius. I dumped my SUV after a few years because I didn't need that big of a vehicle and it got a minimum of 10 MPG less than the xB.

Had a Suburban. After it threw it's 2nd tranny in 2 years I got rid of it. Didn't need it since the kids were older and I didn't have 6-7 soccer players in it any more.

Had a Santa Fe but had the 6cyl and AWD. Keep my foot out of it and I'd get 20mpg in town. Otherwise, back to the 16 or so the Suburban got.

Have the box and enjoy the 30mpg in town and looks it gets. Enjoy!

P.S. Change the shocks and springs, but especially the rear shocks. MUCH better ride.
