So far I've been to only one real car show. When I was there I noticed people had brought stuff to wipe down their cars and clean the wheels and tires. What do you guys all take to the shows to keep the car nice and clean?

Wal-Mart has everything you need also. The have 8 packs of towels, light blue in color. Plus all the detail stuff you would need as well. If you want, we can meet up at the Wal-Mart at Elliot and Priest before the show and I can show you what to get, but it is pretty easy to find what you need once you are in the Wal-Mart.

I will head to wallmart and check it out. I would rather not drive that far just to pick up some cleaning materials lol(I live at i17 and 101) so I will check walmart out tonight and see what they have. Papertowls for windows and rims, microbead towls for the car body?

I ment the morning before the show. You have to drive right past it to get to Firebird, but coolio. Let us know if you couldn't find something. I am sure one of us will have it already.

its great to use a storage container for most cleaning supplys etc. or duffle bag easy to put under tha car or behind the seat or under so it can be out of the way for the show. a chair is always a must or even a small pop up tent if its outdoors. suntan lotion hat an cooler for water etc... u never know what shows will have what an whats going on around., if u dont have somthing im sure a freind would have it. most the time i bring my wipe down cloth an tire cleaner an rags for the engine bay to be cleaned up. an use other supplys from freinds who came wit me like glass cleaner. but important bring tools cause u never know when u need them an string for banners etc.....

Just got back from walmart. I got some blue towls, some microfiber towls (i think they are anyway) some meguires quick clean and some ICE cleaner. little duffle bag is a good idea. my engine bay is a disaster, I'm scared to wash it cuz a lot of people have warned me about cracking the engine block. I don't have anyway of letting it cool enough to wash it before the show.

you can wash it when its hot. the engine will be fine. I just washed mine today. Degreaser then wash it. after that get a couple of rags and start cleaning all da hard to reach areas.

I have a small plastic box with a yellow and green top that matches my car. I have a can of Stoners invisible glass, spray bottles of Meguiars quck detailer and interior detailer, M F towels, and some brushes to dust with. This is of course after you have cleaned your car at home. Chairs and a camera are good to have.

metal polish wadding
clean tire brush (brush carpets to 1 direction)
lint roller (vacuum replacement)
aerosol tire shine to get entire tire glossy
plastic shine (wheel wells, engine hoses, trim bits, etc)
assorted towels (all microfiber)
fold up chairs
cooler w/ drinks
painters tape for the ride home!

lol when you look at the car and see the exhuast hangin without being mounted to the vehicle in anyway, body is in 3 different colors cuase they haven't painted the replaced panels yet, a wing the size of my car without a bodykit to match it or tailights that don't match the car because they haven't finished the body work yet.

half baked lol. at least the scions are fully painted and usually each one is different (talking about the cars not showing)

I need to get some of that interior wipedown. some people told me not to use armor all due to it causing cracking in the dash after using it for awhile. what do you use? I will also look for the aerosol tire shine. I have some spray but I want the whole tire to look wet

yeah i wish i could bring more than one as well. but the girls id bring im sure are alreay going with photographers. oh well, we'll see em there. which reminds me, i need to get ahold of my friend that was in playboy, i started talkin to her about doing a shoot at imports vs domestics then i forgot, i should probably get on that.

before the show, the interior gets a coat of DP interior surface protectant. At the show I use meguiar's quick interior detailer spray to upkeep. The old armorall was bad because it contained petroleum. the new stuff is fine though, but i dislike the shine. matte finish for me :)
for the aerosol, iirc i have meguiar's insane shine. i only use it at shows though. after my typical washes, i use pinnacle black onyx tire gel seeing as it lasts a good deal longer than the aerosol stuff. meguiar's endurnace is also a longer lasting tire gel.

Oh this is going to be fun on Saturday. Can't wait to see what comes of this show, the stories, the pics, oh it is going to be great.

The only thing I can add to the list is breakfast and lunch....or for this show lunch and dinner! You never know what the show will have or how much they will charge for it.

well dinner will be provided by scionvip and from what mike and gabriella were telling me its going to be similar to what they had in vegas... which includes sushi and a carving station. no hot dogs and hamburgers this time around!!! :clap: :clap:
