View Full Version : cheapest way to get ground effects?
jamessicat25 10-10-2006, 12:11 AM ok i decided to go get a ground effects kit before everything else..
i have an 06 flint mica..
whats the cheapest way to get it intalled? how much could it run? cheapest one i found is from partznet.com.. other than that anything else?
any discount code for a website?
WeDriveScions 10-10-2006, 12:19 AM If you want the OEM ground effects, the shipping almost always gets you when it comes to price...
I ended up going through a local dealer, as they could get it to me for the same cost as the online venders, cause shipping was so expensive through them...
Install depends on if a dealer wants to rip you off or not... you are in SE land down there, so you could probably find someone local to help you with the install and do it for cheap/free, as it's rather easy... Post up in your regional area and I'm sure there is someone who has done it, or can do it and help you out... (it saves a bit of cash)
Yanki01 10-10-2006, 01:53 AM how much was your's WDS? i found partznet.com was the cheapest also.
WeDriveScions 10-10-2006, 01:58 AM Wow, testing memory...
t was one of the first things I bought... I believe it was around 850 at the dealer with a little negotiation, the BSP painted OEM full kit...
I just took the trdsparks.com price to them and asked if they could meet or beat it... and bought a heck of a lot of other stuff as well...

Yanki01 10-10-2006, 02:09 AM ^x2. i dont think its THAT hard? I thought it came with instructions?
WeDriveScions 10-10-2006, 02:11 AM It's really easy.... hardest part is cutting the holes in the front and rear bumper... but it's all staying inside the lines and you're good to go!
kdog_1981 10-10-2006, 02:13 AM yea spending a grand then putting duct tape on it....bad idea!
Yanki01 10-10-2006, 02:14 AM no lie, i wish the price would go down a bit on the kit!
kdog_1981 10-10-2006, 02:17 AM yea that is why i am just getting a front lip.
jamessicat25 10-10-2006, 03:43 AM ok so can i tell them about the trdsparks kit they sell and they would sell it at the same price?.. i heard installing the front lip is the easiest..

krazykustomz 10-10-2006, 11:46 PM Another kit that would be an easy install would be the Viniati lip kit. Its cheaper then the OEM kit and it goes for $485 on our site. Click on the link below to see how the kits looks like. It think its an easier install then the oem since there is no cutting involved.
KKO
Yanki01 10-10-2006, 11:53 PM ^ yea but you still need to get it painted! The OEM lip kit is by far the best out there!!! all others look too JDM!
mwuf15 10-15-2006, 09:37 AM isn't it harder to install the front lip? since u need to drill holes.
