I installed a cruise control earlier this week, but wasn't able to get the controller's retaining nut tight enough on the inside of the steering column lower housing. Can someone tell me if I need to remove the steering wheel to fully remove the housing? If so, could you tell where the screws are?
Cheers!

Answered my own question this morning. 8)
Turns out that removing the lower steering column cover is really easy. There are 3 screws. One is below the steering wheel, and easily accessable with a phillips head screwdriver. The other 2 screws face the driver, on the left and right sides of the cover but are hidden by the back of the steering wheel. These 2 screws are accessable by turning the steering wheel to either side. The wheel has a flattened area that when turned allows access to the screws.
Once the 3 screws are removed, the lower steeering column is easily pried away from the upper cover.
I needed a little time to check out the steering wheel to solve my puzzle. No need to remove the steering wheel! That's it!
