Anyone know of all around sources with good deals on a variety of wheel/tire combos? I have never bought aftermarket wheels and don't know where the good deals are to be had. I'm probably going to buy 16" or 17" wheels.

Theres a number of them - but you're in Hawaii, you're gonna get hosed on shipping. Of all the places that have "free" (it's not FREE, it's just included beforehand...) shipping - they don't include Hawaii or AK.

There's Tire Rack, Wheelguyz, Wheel Guys, WheelMax - there's a ton of them. Go buy some rice burner mags, they usually have about 20 pages of wheel and tire distributors advertising.

I know this is a little off topic, but what all is involved in replacing the wheels? I mean I have changed wheels before to put on a spare and stuff but do you need to ballance etc the wheels or can you just bolt them on?

You can buy tires already mounted and balanced and ready to bolt on as a package deal - good for those who are completely unhandy with stuff like that.

The better way is buy the wheels and tires, have them mounted and balanced at a local shop that way you'll know everything was done right (you'll see it done) and the balancing will be spot on.

If you buy them as a package, it's still a good idea to take them in and have them REbalanced to be sure.

If you buy just the wheels and tires, unmounted etc, you will also have to buy your own valve stems, lug nuts, lock lugs.

Big upside to buying unassembled is that it's a good time for you to install a tire pressure monitoring system - good idea on very low profile tires.

the kinda quotes ive been gettin for rims shipped to hawaii is bout $250 for the shipping charge..(4 wheels/tires)..ive ordered my tires off of tirerack which was had real good service and fast shipping (fed ex 3 day air i think) and the cost of shipping was bout $60 for 4 tires. still a lot cheaper than most of these rip off dealers on this island...my rims i got used locally though so i wouldnt know. hope this helped you some.

One other question:
If I decide to keep my stock steelies and go with aftermarket tires will 195/60/15 tires work.
These tires are 24.3 inches in diameter (roughly .5 more than stock 185/60/15 tires.
Will 195/60/15 tires work for the xB?
Beyond throwing the speedometer off, will there be any other issues?
Would there be any rubbing?
Does anyone have 195/60/15 tires, and if so how do they work?

just get aftermarket wheels...some online shop have wheels/tires combo cost little more than your replacement tires

I found some really unique tires but the closest they come to stock is 195/60/15.
Again I need to know if 195/60/15 will work, if anyone has them on etc...
I know that there are deals to be had out there, but I want to explore using original rims as well.

I don't think you'll have any problems running the larger tires.

Check out importhookup.com for some good wheels and deals. They only charge me about $100 for shipping.

Brett at wheelwarehouse.com is also good. check out their website, and ask for him tell him Anson or Marshall sent you, and get a deal. Give him your price range, and he'll work with you to get you some tires and wheels.

Leo at wheelmax.com is also good.

XBhawaii if i was you spend the money and get at least 17 inch wheels for your ride. By the way what color is your ride and what part of town r u from? Also how much money do you wana spend? Look at wheelwarehouse and see if theres any rim that you like and call brett. but just ask him how much for those rim and tires shippped. thanif the price is to high tell him your budget and he will prob work with you. Rims comes with tires mounted balanced and with lug and locks and hub centric rings all you have to do is put air in them and slap them on your car. if your worried abou the ride with larger wheels dont bother becuase there isnt much differance, I got 18s on mines and lowered 2 inch and it feels great. Just ask Anson I took him for a ride on sunday.

these are both two really good shops. They don't use fedex, they use another shipping company with cheaper rates.

Whatever the case may be, you can usually get the wheels you want lower than any place else, and they have nice sales people.

Brett is a little more helpful, but his wheel selection is mostly styling wheels. He's got some good racer wheels too though. Vick only has mostly race wheels.
