I just got my xb. i have heard that the paint scratches easy, it thats tru I don't know. I work 3 jobs and barely home but when I am I'm sleeping or doing yard work. So I usually take my vehicle to a neighborhood car wash. Should I have them hand wash it so the brushes don't scratch?

HONESTLY i never trust my car being washed unless it is myself... People at car washes won't care (for example if there was a small rock in the cleaning mitt.. or things like that)...

I would just take the 30-40 minutes to wash it yourself... and save some money too...

I second the DIY method....plus washing an Xb shouldn't take that long to do. Now if you were washing say a Ford F-250 that would be a different story.

I have a white glove car wash over here near my work I use all the time. They have treated my xB with care and have not had any issues.. That and for the quick hose off since I live out in the stix and my ride never seems to stay clean I have a select few touchless car washes that I visit to get some of the grime off..
But nothing beats a good solid DYI wash those I save for when I do have time on the weekends. After this last batch of rain my ride is due for a nice full scrub.

I got to the Danny's down off of Ray and have them handwash it sometimes, since it won't go through the wash....to low.

They do a great job and really pay attention to detail or at least they have with my car the couple times I have taken it to them. It is tough for us apartment/condo people because we have no other way to wash our car then the carwash or self spray places.
