Greddy Evo II Review, Pics and Video! [56k No]
So I recieved my Greddy Evo II Axleback system today. I ordered it Monday from www.directtuning.com for only $320 shipped!
Some of you may know that I had bought the Strup V.2 recently also. I sold it because it was too loud for my taste and droned horribly inside the cab.
Thankfully the Greddy is perfect!
The quality [as you will see in the pics] is beyond superb. The welds are perfect and have the blueish fishcale tint. The strup hung to the left, and I had to put a metal clamp around the hanger to fix that so it wouldnt burn my bumper, but the Greddy fit perfectly in the cutout, with no modification needed.
The sound from the outside is a low rumbly pur, and inside the cab it sounds lower than stock! I was amazed and deeply satisfied because, like I said before, the droning with the Strup was very irritating.
The can on the Evo II is made differently from other axleback systems. The tip is located at the bottom of the canister to allow ground clearence for lowered vehicles, which will come in handy because I have Tein S Tech's coming in next week
.
Overall I am very impressed with this product. If you are in the market for a killer looking axleback with a barely noticeable note the Evo II is definately for you!
Install 10/10
Quality 10/10
Noise 10/10

Look how purty!

Gorgeous.

Sits in there perfectly.

Install was very easy.

Look at that condensation
.

Again, perfect.
Here is a video of the note from idleing to revving in park. Gonna get one in gear and from the highway soon.

It may be the difference in year's of our xB's, but I doubt it. I stuck it through the rubber hangers and when I came out from under it I was surprised at how it sat perfectly in the middle. After the install I went to the bank and I was worried it might move and burn my bumper, but when I got home and checked it was still sitting in the middle.
My stock exhaust also hung to the left a good bit, so I was very pleased.

I just noticed are xbs are almost identical aside from the rims. Great minds think alike!

It sucks but its bound to happen from everything Ive heard. Its just you can see it more on a PW.
The sound in the vid is actually the Greddy signature sound.
The sound in the vid also differs very greatly from when your actually driving, its so deep you barely hear it.
I need to get some new vids of it on the road!

is there a difference in sound in a single rear exit or a split rear exit? would this exhaust system, http://www.lmperformance.com/6967/72.html , sound better than that greddy system? that greddy system sounds niiiice man! very nice
Thanks!
I thing the borla is deep and loud. It would sound better if thats what you want.
The greddy sounds loud in the video, but while driving the only time I hear it is when I accelerate, and its still very faint.
I LOVE IT!

haha definately keeping this one.
It does sit kind of low, but I dont think it will be that low on S Techs. The tip is at the bottom of the canister so It gives it more groiund clearence.
