Okay so a buddy of mine sai i sould go to autozone and buy a resonator exhaust tip and take it to a muffler shop and have them cut the muffler run a short piece of pipe and put the tip on. He said he did this on his civic and sounded good. Obviously you could never run a header with this setup. I thought it was kinda crazy but then i say someone on another forum that just unbolted his muffler and ran it like that. (has to be really loud). Just curious if i should try this setup or if i should wait and get the greddy sp2 that i really want. I can get that for 430 on ebay or i can get a 20 dollar tip and take it to the muffler shop down the road and ahve it put on for 40$.

don't go cheap.... save up the money and do it right the first time.

and don't spend money to install it.. save that $40.... it's just two bolts and a few hangers.... not hard at all.

I'd say just wait a buy what you want; it'll be a lot nicer than a $60-$70 fart can.

whats wrong with the sp2 tip? I actually like it! Just buy the sp2 and bolt it on yourself! Its cake!

NOthing is wrong with the sp2 tip i was talking about scrappin the stock muffler for just a resonator tip.

Get an actual exhaust, and install it yourself. Real exhausts are designed for sound as well as moving gasses.


You can get it for cheaper than $430, I'm sure. Check the sponsored sales section.
