Default Apex Specific Prob?

Hi, I just wanted to know the exact problem of why the Apex hasn't been succesfully used on the tC. I have read the other threads, but no specific answer yet.

If it does work on your tC, did you set it up all the way from 1000RPM? or from 4000RPM and upward?

they have a nasty habit of setting off CEL's if tuned before 4000 RPM. but Sound Performance found a way for it to work with their turbo kit. too bad they won't tell us how

From my understanding you can only use the safc 2 to tune open loop (4k) and above, on closed loop the ecu learns that somthing is altering it and then throws a cel. So the only way I can think of tuning using a safc 2 is with a Dezod black box for closed loop and the safc 2 for open loop.

Ok I set the neo for 4000 and above in 500rpm increments, then I reset the ecu by removing the negative of the battery, and for a while it was fine. Eventually, the cel came back on. Any ideas?

And why does my car bucks back and forth???

Disconnect the main O2 sensor from the header, and use a bolt for the space. The car will stay in open loop nno matter what, and still be driveable. Tune the apex, and have no problems then.

Do you mean the 02 sensor viewable in the engine bay? Or near the spipe?

I never heard of doing this is it safe? And will my car be damaged due to the cel the neo is causing?

So put a bolt on the 02 sensor and the cel wil go away?

There is a thread in here in SL, about the procedure. I have never tried it. U can search for it somewhere in the tC forums. But seems simple enough. It is the one visible in the engine bay.

I'm telling u, look for the thread. I'm pretty sure, that it's not harmful, but I'm not responsible for anything.
