Alright. Sup everyone. Well Im really undecided and i want to see if you guys could help me out. Alright. My mom got a 2004 Nissan Maxima For a 13 month lease (or soemthing like that). We decided that when the lease was going to end, I would buy it since I could probley get it for like 15,000-17,000 dollars and thats not bad for a 265 hp car. But just recentley i been looking around at cars and I looked at the xb. At first, i thought it really looked bad. But that was only when i saw it stock, once I saw it with a nice pair of rims, lowered and tints , it looked great! I mean I was ready to drop the whole maxima idea and go for the xb. But then I found out about the small engine it had. A 108hp engine. I love the xb. It has the best looks with somerims, lowered, and tints, but it seems so slow. I heard from people saying here that since its so light, its not really that slow, but still slow. Now what would you guys do if you guys where in my shoes. And also, how slow is it. Like do old ladys in buiks pass you on the highway? Sorry, im still a newbie and i dont know what to do.

depending on what area you live in, being low isnt really a problem. I have raced the xb at the autocross when my other car is down and to tell you the truth its keeps up with the porsches in handeling you just have to turn the traction control off, its just like a go cart. As for speed its ok but not the best, revs out fast in first if you have the 5 speed but i topped it off a between 105 -110 mph. redline about 70 in 3rd.

Just go test drive, but for $17k you could get a bone stock xb and turbo it.

yea but it still wont match the interior and the hp (265) of a 30,000 car, but the xb, just looks like the nicest cruiser

Financing on a new car is better, insurance will def. be cheaper, looks of the BOX def. a plus, gas milage better, more interior room in Box, plus who want a used nissan/ datsun when you could have a NEW BOX for less, really should be OBVIOUS
