Default Painting scion badges

I know shaving the emblems off of he xB is very popular, but I'm thinking of going a different route. I'm thinking of painting the emblems (or having them painted by someone who knows what the hell they are doing).

The question is, how well will they hold up? Looking at the emblems it appears that they are painted the stock silver. If that is the case then if I have them painted by someone will they hold up just as well?

I'm thinking of getting the emblems painted the same color as on the wheels I had on my Mazda Protege 5 (see below)

Any help you can give me would e greatly appreciated.

if you find a chill smaller shop i bet they'd do it for next to free. i dont imagine it could cost more than 20 bucks if that.
