hey guys... i just got an 05 xB, and had a question. i was wondering if anyone has painted the black areas below the grill, the honeycomb looking plastic on the front end, and how difficult it is. i am looking to paint this area a chrome or silver color. can you pop it out, or do you have to paint it while attatched to the rest of the front end? thanks.

It pops out from behind. The type of plastic that it's made of (probably ABS) should be molded into the plastic in the form of the recycling symbol. Choose paint that is compatible with the plastic and you can paint it any color you like.

You can pop this out from behind, I've seen it painted silver.
