Default Update:(Pics Post)Surprise!! TRD Supercharger tC to Turbo tC

Well, I thought long and hard for a couple weeks and with the help of my Bro (NuEra) and Buddy (Monte), we (mostly them two) took out my TRD Supercharger and put in the Turbonetics kit into my 05' Scion tC. It was really like a "why not" decision for us, we just did it. It runs good just need to head to Phoenix to tune it and should be set . There is still a lot more to come to this car. Just wanted to let everyone know that there is another boosted tC **Pics and videos soon, we just put this kit in last night**

Awesome. I have debating this for awhile. Did you reuse the supercharger pan with the fitting, or did you tap a stock pan? Are you using the reflashed ECU and the unichip? Anything that needs to be known?

I started getting the parts to up the anty on my supercharger, but with KYTC and another having problems and all the problems, I am rethinking it once again.

Thanks, we actually reused the TRD oilpan from the Supercharger and works just great. The ecu just got reflashed today, and my bro (NuEra) will take my car up to Phoenix to Tune the Unichip, but so far it is running like a champ.
Anything that needs to be known..hmm.. I am going to think about that, I will keep everyone posted. Hopefully I can get pics tonight, and vids will be on soon with tune.

Yea it is. They set it back to Stock setting, it took about 20mins to complete, hooked it up to a computer and now everything is back to factory settings and air/ratio is good.

Conrats on the Turbonetics install. I think you'll find the tq curve improvement over the SC MUCH to your liking.. :D

Please, please tell me how you reflashed it back to stock. This will save me the trouble of buying a new ECU for my going back to stock project. The turbo will come this spring. I need to get find a way to do this before the end of the week.

I was told the flash is irreversible!!! I have been debating going to a ZPI Stage 0 for a long time since that is a bit cheaper and will still give a very good HP increase over the Supercharger. I already spent $3800 on the supercharger, so I don't want to drop another $6000 on a stage 1 turbo setup.

First off great job man! DynoComp is a great dyno shop and really know how to tune the car. That guy Rich is a genious.

You heading to the local meet at the raceway this Friday? I think I have about 4 turbo tCs going, 1 SC, and a few xBs. Let me know!
