Default Anyone dyno a 2007 tC yet?

I want to see what all the noise is all about... plus I picked up an '07 tC today :-D So far I'm quite happy with the decision.

Noob question... anyone make intakes for 07 tC's? Not some stupid eBay junk, I'm looking for something that sounds good and performs. Injen? AEM?

The noise in differences of power output. The tC in bone stock form feels about as quick as my ZX2 was N/A (i/h/e/custom ECU tune [by me], generally run in the 14.9~15.1 area depending on driver) before I boosted it.

no problem man. i know what you mean about how quick the car feels as well. some people like to say the tc is slow but i think it's got pretty good power for what it is. maybe the 07 is a bit quicker than the prior years if people are saying thiers are slow. i've actually had 2 different people ride in my car that have been in an 05 or 06 tc and they said mine has quite a bit more power than they remember.

i can't wait to get some money together to start adding some goodies to her.

It's not a slow car at all... I was pleasently surprised :-D And the injen intake is the first thing to go on it, I can't stand the motor sounding like it's crying as I rev it up with the stock airbox lol

yea i was actually suprised how good the car sounds stock once you get her revving. but the intake is one of the first things i wanna do, i love the sound cars have with cold air intakes buti've never had one so i can't wait for that.

i think the first thing will be the ingalls engine damper though. but i also want to do hotchkiss springs, sway bars(at least the rear), a short shifter, CF front lip, smoke my tail lights and lights on the mirrors, tint my windows, the CAI, and eventually do exhaust. lots of plans but so little money.

You know, the tC feels pretty quick because it's geared shortly and makes the bulk of its torque in a lump in the middle of the RPM band. But they're only as quick as a 15.2 in stock form. And that's a very good run.

From driving mine it feels like it's got a solid powerband all the way up to redline... that's not bad at all IMO. And I was assuming mid to low 15's with a decent driver.

I still dont see how that is! Did Toyota under rate the car? I think thats only about a 8% drivetrain loss.
So far, there is no 07 MY dyno..... but in another thread, there was a discussion on how that power is used and at what engine speed. ANd there was 1 fellow that went to test drive a 07 while still owning a 06 and he said 07 was faster..... so we'll know sometime.
As for the tC feeling faster than your Ford, thats possible. Short gearing and big torque down in the rev range can do that to ppl.
