All of the companies you mentioned make quality products. As far as putting in a test pipe and taking out your cat you are just asking for trouble. It is illegal where I live in CA and I am sure its the same for FL. Good luck!

I just got a DC and the thing ROCKS! I took an RX8 to dinner from a roll last night* and the 4-1 header is the only mod I have done.

*Just because I did, doesn't mean I can.

Pulling the cat isn't going to make you perform any better. You really are wasting your time and money with that modification.

As far as headers... stay away from the OBX. If you are really looking to save money, pick up a Megan. If you want to spend a few more bucks, then take a look at DC and Strup.

I dont know how the Scion would act when you remove the cat, but I also own a SRT-4 and the power gain was only about 6hp and 5ft lbs of torque. Which IMO was not worth the money I spent on the test pipe. The other problem is that you may run into a DTC(diagnostic trouble code) that the cars computer puts out in response to the secondary O2 sensor readings. Usually cars have an O2 sensor after the cat to make sure that the cat is doing its job(cleaning the dirty emissions), and if you remove the cat your O2 sensor will let the computer in the car think that the cat is inoperable. Hence giving you a CEL( check engine light). As far as the removal being legal I lived in NM and it was legal to remove it there since there was no emissions laws.

Not sure but i'm sure you still have your DC Sports exhaust that came with our RS package...If so, I would go with the DC Sports header...I have heard exhausts that sound like crap once you start mixing header and exhaust brands...

here's a vid clip of the exhaust note. It's a little higher pitched in the vid, sounds less ricey in person.

What up Luke, Ive been thinking about the Strup header/ exhaust combo for sale on partshipper.com for 500 bucks.
You keeping the DC Sports exhaust even if you change the header?

I have the OBX & am more than pleased w/ it. Price was great =$120. Install was kind of a pain in the @$$ because getting the stock header off is a BEAR. But the only real negative I have to say about it is that the mounting bracket didn't match up on my xA & I had to mod it. It may not be an issue on the xB tho.
I've got some pics of it on my profile if you wanna see how it compares to the stock.

All-in-all the OBX is a great header!!! Combined w/ a CAI & the DC Sports exhaust it has a nice low grumble note. (nothing like a bee taking a $h!t)
