I've had my Camo for about 1000 mi now and love it. I've been totally awed by how flexible the engine is. If you follow the handbook and shift at 15, 25, 40, and 45 you will never get over 3200 rpm. Therein lies the beauty of this engine that can pull so well from 2000 rpm up! (I haven't redlined it yet!)

Now, the tC is a giveaway at $16.5K so why not give us a super-sport xB for a littel more money? How about the 1.8L, 16 inch low probfiles, tweeked suspension, and a heavy duty six-speed manual or optional true sportshift for about the same money?

While I'm drooling, will the Camry engine fit in the bay?

Why dont they just put a 140-190hp 4 cylindar engine used on the Celicas in the xB as an option for those who want speed.

I've been thinking of the same thing since I got mine. One of my friends has a '01 Celica GTS six speed, and I would love to drop it into mine. That would kick @$$.

hell just a 6spd would be cool. My wife & I drive ours 70 miles round trip every day on the freeway to work. Another gear would be real handy in reducing fuel consumption and engine noise. We normally drive 80 mph. My bike has the same size engine & a 5spd like our Xb and is half the weight. Its geared higher and the xB needs a another gear up high. 1-5 should stay the same just add a taller 5th gear. PLEASE! I would like to buy another Special eddition model in a year or too and a 6spd on the xB would keep me coming back.
