More Horsies for Less $$$$
OK so I'm getting my catback exhaust installed this coming weekend and I am wondering what I would like to mod next. I wanna boost my power some.. at least with something noticable. What would be a good performance upgrade for not alot of money?
I have an 06 xA
Do they make chips for me? Does anyone have any they would suggest or some other great way to gain some power fast and cheap?

i beg to differ i say free up the intake.....that is basic tuning free up the flow.....you can have cheap reliable power....have to stay away from NAME brands....now if we are talkin turbo/charger setup then you you get what you pay for but i have a Ebay intake and a greddy exhaust and i put down 97hp and 101 ft/lbs
SWEET!
What is the diff between K&N, AEM, etc. and something from ebay like this..

i personally would never put a no name part on my car. Especially something like an intake. if the filter is garbage and falls apart your in trouble.
cheap - reliable - power
you can only have two of the three
the ebay intake might be cheap and give you the same power as the others but who knows how it will hold up. i would spend the extra and get higher quality parts.
the exhaust really isnt a big deal. though the cheapo brands tend to sound crappy compared to the good stuff. i have a Fujita intake and Strup Exhaust and i drive around with my radio off so i can hear them haha. I don’t really know much about xA parts but im sure there is something out there.

well i will agree on the exhaust but i got my intake on ebay and i dont think it is bad.......the filter doesnt feel or look like crap in my openion...when the filter gets old i will replace it with a K&N filter...but for now it works great with no problems over 6 months.....i didnt even have to remove the battery.
thats your choice. its not a risk i want to take. MikeyShine, get the parts you want, there are enough out there to chose from.
something else to keep in mind is fit and finish. my experince with ebay parts is they are "pretty close" but never fit just right.

like has been mentioned before, install what you want. There are a few to choose from.
I have a K&N Typhoon and love it, easy install, didn't remove battery, just moved it a little. Took about 20 min.
Funny how people say things like " never a brand name" but going with a name brand later, and then says " you get what you pay for". I, for one, will stick to name brands, every thing but OBX that is.
