Hey guys.. If you can tell by my name.. I can't EVER make up my god dámn mind about anything. Back on 2001, I stood in Toys R Us for 1 1/2 hours just deciding whether I wanted a Black or Indigo GameCube. lol Got the Indigo baby!

I posted 1-2 months ago here saying that I was going to trade my 06 Auto Flint Mica tC in for an 06 Manual Polar White xB. The day I was supposed to go seal the deal... I panicked and kept the tC.

I never really loved the tC. I hate the image of it. Every car on the road wants to race it. It's not even a sports car. I'd like to get better gas milage, which I just killed my MPG by adding a Megan Racing Exhaust. I'm wasting so much money adding POWER mods; and they hardly even make a difference. lol/

If I get the xB, I'm only going to add cosmetic mods. And if any power mods, just a CAI. Few months ago I saw numerous people switch from an tC to an xB. I want to know how you feel about the switch......

Though I want better gas... I can afford gas now. Thats not the problem. Plus I should have a job 4x better than what I have now within a couple weeks. I can afford the tC. But I just feel that the xB REPRESENTS ME MORE. My inspirations for getting a POLAR WHITE xB are EvilCreations and iheartzombies.

tC owners are like high schoolers. and xB owners are like elementary schoolers. The tC owners fight for pride and popularity. They think they're the best. They bought a tC for speed. Though as high schoolers.. they couldn't afford a real sports car like 'Vette. xB owners aren't that coarse. They know what they like, and they like the xB. They bought it for the fun factor, and it's convenience.

Well since it's not a money issue it means you really don't enjoy yr current car. And most prob. you panicked that day because you overanalyzed it too much. Yr heart and mind go towards the xb but yr gut feeling is to stay with the tC.

Well I don't have much to say to help you decide other than good luck. I'm in the process of selling my tC now and waiting for the RS4 to make it into my driveway, so I know how you feel.

I was in your position once.

I used to drive an 04 civic coupe. I loved it when I first got it, but then it got really old. Everyone out there was driving one and half of them looked just like mine. Everyone wanted to race, and it was pointless because I had maybe 104 horses. Luckily one day I got in a wreck and totaled the civic.

When I wrecked the civic I knew what I was going to get, an XB. Most people might have been sad that they totaled their car but not me, I had a smile on my face.

Tc's are nice, don't get me wrong, at first I kinda wanted one. Many people thought I would get the tC since I drove a civic, but my heart belonged to the xB.

I love the way they look because they're so different from everything else out there, yet there is still a plethora of after market parts for them. Not only are they fun as hell to drive, but the MPG is great.

At first I wanted either a Camo or Black Cherry Pearl xB. I was kinda sad that they didn't even make them anymore. So being the carbon fiber junkie that I am I figured white would be an awesome "canvas" for my work :D.

Modding a car is sorta like adding your style to it. It's your own work and it represents you.

I would definitely recommend getting a Polar White if you did get an xB. They are hard to keep clean, but they keep heat away great, and look more luxurious in my opinion!

You are exactly right about the high school elementary thing too dude. Exactly right.

edit: Wanted to add in that the TC is going to be the next civic, without a doubt. It's a cheap car with tons of mods that are relatively inexpensive, and new civic's cost around $24,000. Not syaing it's a bad thing, just that everyone will own one, and tons of idiots will rice them out.

Honestly I am not a huge fan of the tC. It is most likely the cash cow of the Scion line up whether anybody wants to admit it. Those who buy one likes every other coupe out there on the market. Those who buy a xA or xB want something different, something fun, and as you said have no problem admitting it. The xB is a bit more out there than the xA but both are still fun little cars that serve a purpose and not much more. Each person may have a different purpose which shows they are very functional. What can you do with a tC besides drive it? Can barely fit more than two people in it cause the back seat doesn't have much room for people, it's a coupe, and not much trunk space compared to the area offered in the xA and more so xB.

My heart was broken when my xA was totaled and I just can't buy another, but the xB will serve my purpose even better than the xA ever did and that's very satisfying for me.

Buy the xB and give up on the tC, you're not cool enough for the tC and you have already admitted that.

 

trust me you can fit 4 peeps in a tc...
my bro and myself both weigh more than 250 lbs each...
we both fit in the backseat of a tc and were very comfortable(sp?).....lol!!

You have to think long and hard about the decision you would like to make, and see if you will be happy with it. If you are wanting to go in the direction of more show than go, as well as more practicality and useability, as well as better gas milage, then you are going in the right direction with the xB. That is what I was going after, I wanted more practicality, and better gas mileage, I cared less about the go, and am working on the show. It's a slow process for me. I think you are heading in the right direction.
