Okay, so i have a friend that got a carbon fiber trunk put on her tC.
She told me that her friends put it on for her at some body shop and she said that they also changed the TRUNK SHOCKS. To lower pressure ones.
Because over time the stock ones can actually crack the carbon fiber.. is this true??

uhh.. the stock struts will put undue stress on the hatch.. and not only that.. force the hatch open in a very forceful manner when opened.
yes.

hood/trunk shocks are matched to the weight of the hood. They can increase speed or even slow it down. With the dramatic decrease in weight, the stock shocks will put the cf hood under a lot of pressure when it is closed. The rigidity of the cf hood of where the shocks are placed might not be strong enough to handle the pressure of the shock, thus you will see a bend in the hood or cracks down the road.

you have any pics of the carbon fiber hatch i would like to see...but the stock struts will shoot that hatch up at hurting force...can crack the hatch or glass or somethign
