This is an intake system for a subaru impreza sti.







there is a piece of an old injen cai holding the intake system to the stock piping. and where the one resonator was i capped it off with a bottle cap from a propel bottle haha. its held up nicely since a week after i got the car. any ?s ask away.

 

why havent you removed the lower piece of the stock intake that goes down into the fender :-P

this is pretty much just a short ram intake
IMO the filter looks too thin, Injen SRI looks much better

yes it is loud. louder than the axel back i beleive haha. and im probly going to get a new filter soon. i dont feel like cleaning it.

 

Id go ahead and do that but I need somewhere good to secure my Zex nozzle.

cool idea. so the STi intake was just the filter and that little piece with the sensor on it? how much did that run you? and also, is this technically carb legal? i know that the carbon filter in the stock airbox makes our stock legal, but will this since im guessing the intake is carb legal, would this make it legal too?

 

to be totally honest, ive opened up my hood twice on in the 3 months ive owned it

 

I'm mostly wondering about the plastic piece that the sensor's attached to.

 

it was free haha. my housemate has a sti and got a perrin fmic which came with another intake, so he gave it to me to use. and idk if its carb legal, i could careless about california laws haha.

and where the maf sensor goes would be the intake system off the sti. i think they run about 150 bucks.
