Default Shift **** and pedals

I have a 2007 manual TC and I am interested in upgrading the shift **** and pedal covers. I wanna do something very easy and cheap. Does anybody have any good recommendations?

Thanks.

Ebay. No matter what people say about that place, it's still a good resource to buy inexpensive, good parts for your tC. Just make sure you read feed back comments about the person you're going to purchase from and you won't have any issues.

Ebay has about 2000 items for the tC. I've bought several little bits and pieces to add to my car. I'm constantly looking through all the stuff to see what else I can add that's inexpensive and easy to install--I'm not very mechanically inclined either. :p Anyway, I believe the shift **** screws on and off and the pedals, well, those seem a little harder to get to so I don't know. My tC came with the OBX **** and pedals installed.

^I've gone to Pepboys and Autozone and didn't have much luck finding that kind of stuff that didn't look cheesy.

I have RÄZO black carbon stuff:

http://www.carmate-usa.com/html_razo...arbon_dark.htm - I have the RA66 shift ****. And it works great with the short shifter I have.
http://www.carmate-usa.com/html_razo...s_s_carbon.htm - the RP55s listed in this one. They were pretty easy to slip on and I've learned how to heel-toe shift with these pedals on.

I have these and they're just sitting inside my tool box. I had them on my old car.

IMO, they're actually worse than the stock rubber pedals. During the rainy season, my feet actually slip. They have very little contact area. Yeah the holes seem like they grip if you STEP hard on them. But I find the stock rubbers to grip better and they don't slip even with my shoes wet.

I ordered my OBX pedals from trdsparks.com. they feel much better than stock and were $34.95 i believe. installation was a breeze.

if i remember correctly there should be a topic where people were posting up their shift *****. you should try to find that and look at what people have. i have the razo ra43 http://www.cardomain.com/item/RAZRA43. still havent gotten pedals afraid of slipping during the rain.

little advice if your shift boot comes up short of the bottom of the **** you can flip that plastic end piece on top of the boot and it will kill the gap.

check out www.ptuning.com and go to the interior section. They advertise on this site and have a 5% discount if you click on their ad. I got the Sparco pedals, foot rest, and Greddy counter-weighted shift ****.

Just pick up the Toyota OEM Optional pedals and "sport" shift ****.. both products are outsourced to OBX, but atleast they are tailored for the tC.. I love mine.. they are good quality for the money. Pedals+**** = $65ish

I just bought the OBX pedals last night... $41 or so with shipping (from TRDSparks). Should ship out Monday and I guess I should get it on Wednesday or Thursday.

i just picked up a black ano obx fatboy for my tC and the shift boot is about a cm short of the bottom of the ****, how do you go about flipping that plastic end piece that is on top of the boot? i didnt use any of the spacers that were provided with the ****, didnt have time to experiment with them to see if they'dd help closing that gap up.

The thread adapter might not be at the right setting (dunno if you checked that yet or not). Remove the ****, unscrew the top silver part of the ****, and push out the plastic piece from the bottom. Putting in the adapter into the different slots will raise/lower the ****. I'm also assuming you MEANT to say fatboy ****, as it is the only one that does this, I think.

Yeah, I have both the OBX pedals and the OBX speedstar mesh shift ****... they both look amazing, are a perfect fit, and install in less than 5 mins.
