Yeah... so my CEL goes on and off at different intervals... and when I checked the code it said it was the camshaft positioning sensor telling me my timing was advanced. So... has anyone else had this problem? I hope I'm not in for a fight with Scion telling me it's my fault... cause I haven't done anything to the car but drive it. Car goes in Monday morning at 7am. Thanks.

They are replacing the entire crankshaft gear assembly. The whole gear assembly was bad. TAKE YOUR CAR IN!!! The code came and went, and then came back and went away again, and then I finally got the chance to get it in.

for sure man. They should have it done tomorrow... and they also machined my rear drums and cleaned them up for free, and I don't have to pay for my rental (extended warranty = sweet)

I don't know the exact warranty, but it is covered. Take it in, but if you have aftermarket engine parts (ie: non-factory installed CAI or short ram intake), put it back to stock before you take it in. And yes, we have a 3 yr/36000mi warranty. (I have 5yr 100k mi. extended which paid for my rental car)

bbboxxx this is covered under the 60,000 mile powertrain warrenty. I had it done with my xB.
I had a fujita short ram intake on mine and the dealer didn't say a thing.
And they gave me a rental car also.
