damn mystikchris, clean. how did you like the viniati fierce front lip? i think i might go with that front because i don't think the rs1 front will look that good on lighter cars (esp. AP). How are the duals treatin ya?

How much does the Viniati Feirce lip kit cost? How easy does it fit on? And straighten this out for me, The lip kit comes with the front lip, side skirts and rear bumper right?

hey if i were to paint carbon fiber, would it have an exact match to the car? i love CF but i also love the clean look on a car. don't trip out on that idea, but i just would rather have my CF paint matched...less weight = more whp. u think it can be done to paint match perfect? I plan to buy the rs1 in cf.

The weight difference between an abs, fiberglass, and carbon fiber lip would be so minute that painting a carbon lip for weight savings would be like lighting money on fire. If you want it painted don't buy the lip in carbon.

so they are all pretty much around the same weight then right?? if so, then i'll just go with the abs lip (no cf)....i'll save up for cf fenders, hood, and trunk then...is there anything else the tc has cf (i know the roof comes in cf, but i like my sunroof too much :love: )

yessir :) and we have more coming :D right now there is gauge clusters, door inserts, armrest covers, and mirror covers, FWW doesnt have the center console done yet. and the dashboards are for the first 20 people i believe.

Im getting it installed at a local tuner shop that I trust. There might need to be some trimming to make it fit perfect, which is why im taking it to them.

Just got the side skirts installed. They look awesome, I love them. Im about to go out for a photoshoot for them right now, pics will be up in a couple hours. Also I got my car dynoed after I had them installed and pulled 145hp with just my intake and exhaust on a Mustang dyno. My cars an Automatic btw. Ill post the graph up too.

firmware worx might be comin out with a CF lip kit (only reason im holdin off on buyin one) and i can almost gaurentee it will be 1 peice :D

looks nice I don't think I've ever seen the side skirts in cf before, how was the fitment?

how much clearance did you lose on the front by putting that lip on? i plan on getting the hotchkis springs but i also want that CF front lip but don't wanna destroy it if it'll be to low.

KJ did your shop say they had to do any trimming to make it fit? or is this a possibly DIY job? i know the front lip is pretty much a DIY job and it would be nice if the sides were too.

They aren't very much lower than the stock skirts at all. The stock skirts curve inwards at the bottom, these just go straight down. When matching the CF skirts up to the stock ones you can barely tell if they're lower than the other.

As for lowering with this lip you do have to be careful, its about an half inch lower than stock, I have TRD springs and I do have to be careful on very steep driveways and such. And you cant pull all the way into parking curbs or you'll definitely scrape it. Once you get used to driving a lowered car its not a problem, you learn what you can get over and cant. I haven't had any problems scraping except on this one ridiculously steep driveway that I probably would have scraped stock.

They didnt have to do any trimming in the end, it fit right up. Only thing is when you open the door you can see where the stock skirts bolted up to. Here is a pic for example.

so KJ, the front lip only lowered the front about 1/2 inch? if so thats not that bad. the hotchkis should only be maybe another 1/2 inch or so lower in the front than the trd's so i should be ok.

i already give myself plenty of room from curbs pulling into parking spots and i already take speed bumps at really low speeds. so i don't think i'll have a problem, but like you said just be careful not to climb anything to steep.

I'm getting my lip kit in Jan. I'm probably going with the RS1.

very nice man i can't wait to get my cf sides.. and the rear definitely abs dynamics doesn't want to produce them.. so i'm probably gonna talk to firmware to either get some limited ones made or get the abs one wrapped.. i'm probably gonna try to get mine wrapped...

Racing Solution sells the ABS lip kit. They are a distributer of ABS and the lips are shipped from ABS Dynamics.

dont go throught the dealership, they will overcharge you gaurenteed. find a local bodyshop and get a quote, shop around for the best quote and look for quality too.

cost varies from shop to shop

but if front is what your getting for now, i suggest going with OEM front lip. its easy enough for anybody to install and available factory matched paint from the dealer.

Haha, those roads arent nice anymore. As you may have heard we've been getting hammered here in Colorado every week with snow. Just after that road and under a bridge its pothole city.

the hood looks like c/f as well. look at it, its black from the bottom in the first pic, and on the second pic it looks black on top as well.

Yeah I did notice that. I was just going by his profile information. He doesn't have a CF listed there.

I could see how it looks like the racing solutions car.. But look carefully. The 5 zigens aren't the same color, and I have a motorfx hood (which can't be seen because the hood is up). My wheels are hyper black, and the one's on the racing solution one look like they are just silver. Also if you're wondering where are the holes for the vents on the hood.. I had a fiberglass mold fabricated to cover it in case of bad weather. It's true that both vehicles pictured have the same lip kit and color, but they are not the same ones.

Ive pmed Racing Solution about the CF 1 piece rear and he said he talked to ABS and that they have no plans for a 1 peice rear in CF for the tc. :( Which is the one piece I really want, but it looks fine with just the front and sides.

Got a couple questions for guys with the Rs1 kit who bought it seperate from the car. Where did you get it specifically, and how much for a shop to paint/install?

Also, if bought from the dealership i'm assuming they'll be painted, how much will they gouge me? I also used to work for them so I may be able to swing an employee discount, but just in case i'm curious of their price.

ok... i noticed mostly of the lips here are the RS1 lip... now i have a question for you guys with that lip... are they direct bold on and doesnt need kit modification??? im planning to buy this kit for my AP tC... and maybe some1 can post an AP tC with this kit on... thanks a lot...

it is a direct installation... but i've seen gaps on the front and the the rear lips... i personally didnt have the chance to try this, but i really want to see someone install their lip unpainted, and then take a heat gun to it and heat the plastic of hte lip up and bend to to shape against the bumper so there are no gaps.

Those of you who installed lip kits yourself... what are you using to pop off the clips for the skirts and bumpers. I don't wanna force em off and break em I know theres gotta be an easier way then a screw driver... they just don seem to be coming off so easily.

Just a suggestion, but why not put the model of your lip kit into your actual post. I know you can often view the profile to see it, but some people don't use the profile. This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, just think these picture threads could be more useful with more info in them.

The RS-1 lip just does not fit flush with the tC. I guess on the darker colored cars its ok, but lighter ones its just not workin

I see that alot of ppl have the RS1 lip kit. Is it much better than the OEM lip kit or is it just more personal perference? Also, why is the OEM kit so much more expensive than the RS1 kit? Thanks.

cuz its OEM hah OEM parts are almost always more than aftermarket.and a lot of people get the rs1 kit cuz it gives the car a more agressive look AND its affordable =)

im still wondering what the difference is between bcp and the crimson red..

get an 08 lower grille, dont need to modify the lip to fit. just put it on top of the grille

bcp is more purple and the crimson one is darker. yea its jeri lee! i got pictures with her at Scion Night at Knotts in october....HOTTTT
