Shouldn't have any issue combining them...same weight and the only difference is the additive package in both.

You can even mix different weights of oils...like 2 quarts of 5W-30 and 2 quarts of 10W-30 to get the equivalent of a 7.5W-30. I wouldn't mix synthetic and non-synthetic oils and I'd try to avoid mixing different brands (but probably not that big of a deal) but mixing synthetics of the same brand you should be fine.

Yes the stock motor oil is 5W30, but I am going with Mobil 1 Synthetic Motor Oil 10W30.

it may also depend on where you live and what type of temperatures are met. For 07, they say use 0W-20 or 5W-20. If I was living in Florida or So Cal, I wouldnt use those.

just mix it. i work at a toyota dealership and we dont go "examining" the oil when a motor blows up, lol. we just do the work. we don't even have a way of checking what weight an oil is. just mix the oil so it doesn't go to waste because that ____ is like $6/qt.

wait, so when you switch to synthetic oil, what happens to the oil that is still inside the motor after you drain, that is going to mix with the synthetic, right?

so i dont see why mixing any type of oil would be bad

Yes you can combine them. You can combine synthetic with reqular oil if you wanted to, no problem there either. No sense letting all that good stuff just sit around. Just remember to recycle the bottles when you're done.

I'm pretty sure both of those are full synthetic. Mix em. They look like same thing except different packaging.

Can I top off my brake fluid with synthetic brake fluid and just keep replacing it with synthetic brake fluid as I go along and as it needs it?
