Default Installing Valve Stems? Easy or not?

I was just curious how easy/hard it was to install valve stems. Possibly remove the standard black ones and get a ncie chiny chrome ;) Never had a new car to really screw around with, so even the smallest mods are new to me. I may just get caps and keep it REALLY easy...I can handle that.

Thanks

To replace the valve stem itself the tire must be removed from the rim. After that then you can replace the valve stem. Re-mount the tire and your done. It has to be performed by a tire shop.

You can get covers that go over the black rubber in either chrome or stainless. I don't know if I've seen any good quality ones, though.
