Just got my flight info and it says SanDiego to tx to miami on thursday then miami to tex to SanDiego on sat ? I had a sunday return pm what happened ?

You misunderstood Darren.....the list is closed for return preferences....therefore, if you didn't already post your preference.....you will be booked on the earliest returning flight.....so everyone who posted their preferences BEFORE Darren closed the list should get what they asked for.

got my flight info this morning. Everything looks good for me :) The info is from Travel Destinations Inc and every flight looks like its gonna be a 1 stop flight. I will be arriving in Miami @ 8:20PM.

Your flight is going to suck REGARDLESS! I used to live up there a few years ago.. and I made the flight to Florida and back several times. NOT ONCE was it ever less than 16 hours. :doh:

Let's see, by my quick calculations, at the current rate of processing flight information, they should be through the list by late March or early April... Uh, wait a sec... We have to have our information within the next two weeks, three at the outside... Somebody needs to get humpin'... :tap:

(Usually it is recommended that reservations all be made at least 30 days before the first flight - often, making them later will cost more, and at the very least, there will be drastically more limited choices. I've been watching the flight info for leaving my primary airport for Miami, and last I looked many of the flights are down to two to five seats left in the 'reasonable price/reasonable flight time' options. Even a zero stops flight takes between 8 and 9 hours, and adding in processing time and the security charade at the airport means at the best a 12 hour day just to get to Miami. This is getting a bit tense.) :(

BMG isn't making the bookings, they have contracted that to a reasonably large travel agency in Arizona...

I haven't recieved any travel information yet. I think they're just doing it in order of when they received your papers.

I never got a confirmation e-mail from Marco, or scionlife, that my paperwork was recieved. Although I know it was because the little "R" symbol was next to my name on the winners list. I still don't know if the certified mail or the fax got there first. Never got word back on the certified mail...but I do have a mailman that can't give people the mail that belongs to them.

I've just got a few e-mails for discounts on different car parts in my spam. I have yahoo mail, so I wonder if that could have anything to do with it?

i dont know if you're able to do anything at this point.....you can call southwest and see if you can change it with them, but you'll incur a charge...good luck!

I am so screwed. I SWEAR I made a post on the return flight board, but now it's not there! I have already set up other plans to work around a Sunday afternoon flight ... but now I'm booked for Saturday instead.

If anyone has luck fixing their return flight, please post on this thread who you called to get it taken care of! Much appreciated.

I'd wager to say that it'll have to be fixed through the airline itself.

I have heard back. In order for me to change my flight times, I have to contact the airline and pay the fee ($50) myself.

Thanks to Chrisie @ Travel Destinations, I just changed my flight time from mid-day Saturday to Sunday evening!

She was EXTREMELY nice about the whole thing and didn't seem like it was a big deal at all. She said as long as the price difference between flights wasn't too big, then she could make the switch in my situation. YMMV ...

my flight back doesnt leave until 8:45 pm so im satisfied. although experiencing a saturday night in miami would probably be hella fun but i dont need to be spending more money on a hotel if i dont have to.

I was able to change my flight times as well! She was VERY helpful about the whole thing.

I couldn't change my flight. she said it would be 179 to get a different flight, so I asked some friends to hook me up with a different return flight for sunday evening. I still have to call christie and let her know I don't need her ticket home...

Chrisie would not change my return time, something about going over budget (my return flights were $64, combined)

I had to pay $75 to change the time on a $64 set of flights.

Still a pretty great deal.

So everyone had to pya to change their flight? I thought as long as the prices weren't too different it wouldn't be a problem. Christie said it would be 50 bucks to change my flight.. I don't want to leave miami at 650 am on saturday..

If the changes are not made within 24 hours of first making the reservations, most airlines charge between $50 and $100 to make a change.

BMG should be sending Darren a list of current status of winners TODAY.
