Ok, I'm trying to decide on what I want to do for my next mod. The prices are about the same. Im looking at rims, kinda decided on the Reaction Fijis 18 w/ kumhos. Here

Other Idea is a DVD Player. Throught one of our suppliers I can get this Here. I can get it cheaper than retail. Also, new speakers, a 4 guage amp kit. Have 2 amps, ready to put in it.

My question is any suggestions to which one? I have just 15" hubcaps on my 06 onyx blue xb now. I would like rims, but Im kinda leaning towards the stereo/dvd player. I have my Alpine Type S sub in it now, and its kinda lonely. I love in dash tv especially the double din units. Give me some suggestions please!!!

 

When I get a new ride I am usually in the same position. I live in MA so the weather usually reflects my choice then so say now I had to decide I would do interior DVD because I won't be able to use rims for another 6 months.

With you in FL I would go with some new shoes first if it was me.

 

I say rims. Adding to your stereo would be nice, but the pavement gets hot in Florida, and dancing barefoot is a bad decision.

I really want Konig Unknowns. However, they are kinda out of my price range at this moment. So, instead of settling on rims I don't know that I would really be happy with, I think Im going with the new H/U and stereo. I'm modding my xb a little by little, removed the pillar post tape today. Demarked. Tint. Hardwired XM Roady. Spoiler.

If you don't have enough money to get exactly what you want, why settle for something you already know you are not going to be happy with? If you really want the Konig Unknowns, then don't buy either. Keep saving the dough and get the Konigs.
Another mod you could do in the meantime, if you haven't already done it, is the "Supersoaker" mod. Also, you might as well remove the rear wiper if you're going to flip the rear washer nozzle. Otherwise, it is pretty much useless.

are some good places to look for wheels. wheels make the car so choice wisely. it doesnt matter how nice your stereo is, a cheapo set of wheels will make your car look bad.

 

Thats right. I think I would like a better stereo right now more than rims. My car is not going to be in any shows, I dont really care what people think about it, I just want to like it. A nice stereo to me would be worth more to me than wheels at this time.

New rims always make a car stand out and look more original.
I wouldnt go with the "DUAL" brand HU anyway, save up and get something better.

I would say save up for wheels and get a better DVD Player. I don't think "Dual" is a very good brand. I had listened to someone with a "1000Watt" "Dual" amp and 2 12" "Dual" Subs, and my one 10" JL Audio sub with a 300 Wat JBL amp sounded the same or even louder.

 

I say definately get some rims. Especially living in Florida.

 

Im getting really tempted by looking at a bunch of pictures here of xBs with 18s and a 2"drop. You guys just changed my mind. Thanks for the suggestions. Now, I'm searching all these sites, when I decided and buy some, I'll post some pics.

 

RIMS!! Can you show me some pics of ur xB w/ the pillar tape off?? Since you have a BOP and I do too I was gonna take the tape off but needed to look at a BOP to see if I liked it or not. Please o please show me some pics. did you remove the mirrors to peel that section off or did you just peel and it came right off? Can you give me a how to?? Sorry to ask all these questions and thread jack, I got excited when you said you took the tape off of your BOP. but to get back on topic, I say get rims. Don't get unknowns, too many people on SL have them. They're nice but they're played out already. (No offense to those who have unknowns!)

 

Dude get the unknowns if that is what you want. It doesn't matter how "played out" they are...we all drive scions...I think it's safe to say that they are pretty "played out" as well
