The auto is in the low 2400s, depending on accessories and year.

Check the sticker in the driver's side door opening. All the specs should be there.

99% of dealers don't know squat. . . and many people quote them for "inside" information regarding new models. . .

The dealer near me couldn't even figure out the paint code for CSM. . . and had to check on my door. I mean c'mon! Working at a dealership service department, they SHOULD KNOW. And that's just one tiny little thing as simple as paint. Imagine how horribly misinformed the sales people are. I personally find it comforting when those sales guys give me answers like, "I don't know, but if it's important to you, I'll find out." If they just blurt out an answer, odds are that it's dead wrong.

I was also told by a dealer that an 04 Corolla S (mind you, it's not the XRS) had a top speed of 140mph. I don't even think the XRS can hit 140, let alone the badged up S. I hate Toyota dealers. I hate them with all my heart. By far, the worst (on average) dealership experiences I've ever had in my life. Even Chevy offers a better dealership network. If it weren't for Toyota making great cars, I would never buy Toyota. In fact, the only reason I bought Scion was so I wouldn't have to haggle with a Toyota dealer. I had a bad experience today actually, which is why I am venting. The stupid sales guy parked SO close to my car, I couldn't open the door more than 4 inches. And then they refused to move it and told me it was a customer's car, even though I saw the guy park it (and it had dealer tags, no temp reg, and dealer sticker). If it weren't for security cameras, I would have keyed the car to oblivion and lit the place on fire. I had to get in from the friggin passenger's side and crawl in. And this was the dealer from which I bought my car from. I HATE TOYOTA DEALERS! ARGH!!!!!!!!

But to answer your question, 2400lbs give or take is about right. That's pretty light.

I come from Europe originally and I cant picture 2450 lbs - I tried Google to see what the Scion weighed in "real money", but there arent any specs in kilograms. Had to go for a calculator in the end, but at least I have a feel for it now.

Just in case you guys ever need to know for the day in 2150 when the US goes metric, there are 2.2lbs in a kilo. See, not everything is bigger over here!
