Default Turkey Weekend Meet - Sat 11/25/06 10:30 AM - San Francisco

Hi folks,

I thought it would be nice to do something Thanksgiving weekend. At some point, you're going to get sick of your extended family staying at your house and eating your food. Some of you are going to get sick of shopping. Others will feel nauseated from too much turkey.

Dim Sum / Chinatown
Palace of Fine Arts? I dunno.
Ocean Beach?
Maybe Golden Gate Park or something. (Children's Playground? I love that place. It's HUGE!). Metreon? Moscone Center - (is there that car show this year? The one where the big automakers whip out next years models?)

Sat. 11/25/06 10:30 AM

Meet at Weapon R in South San Francisco

180 SYLVESTER RD. SSF CA 94080

5 PM or so - Go to ChefBam's place for his mod meet.

Playin it by ear'

Sounds good Bam, but I'm not too familiar with Oakland's Chinatown. Hmmm.... might be less crowded than SF on Thanksgiving weekend. Well, we'll see I think. At the very least, I need to eat some good dim sum.

Can you play tour guide for us?

We could come back to your place in the evening and do S'Mores.

Hmm, where's Quinn? Hello? Quinn? S'Mores! Next Sat. At Bam's!

Trung would probably want to bring his LED stuff too. Poor Trung, every time there's a meet, he's busy soldering almost the whole time.

<--- doesn't even want to think of food. Ugh I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week.... I'm going to be hating life. Ed.. you should have been there today... there was a pie with your name alllllllllllllllllll over it. LOL As for Saturday.. it sounds good, but as Bamm said I know he was planning a modding meet at his place. Though I'm always down for Dim Sum. yummmmmyyy.

Will have to clarify with Tim first on when we are actually coming back from Volcano though!

I probably would have just been hungry an hour later anyways.

You think I'm kidding but I'm not.

Was the apple pie good? Sometimes I get a pie with too much cinammon and too little suger. I can't eat it then. It's too "earthy" tasting with all the cinammon.

Does anyone know if the International Car Show is running on Thanksgiving at Moscone this year the same as usual? Maybe we could stop by there on Saturday too. Hmmm anyone know any legitimate tuner shops/stores in the city? Maybe we could drop by Scion SF and give them a hard time about not setting up a meet for us

I never knew Oakland had a Chinatown. I hope it would be less crowded than SF's Chinatown during the weekend.

OK, schedule thus far

10:30 AM - meet at Weapon-R. (I also got to put on a 3rd brake light for someone I thnk)

11 AM - leave Weapon-R. (I am taking into account asian time which is about 1/2 hour to 3 hours behind normal time (Please note: asian time does not apply to work or school, only social events)
- Going to Oakland's Chinatown. Dim Sum I think. Hopefully, Oakland's Chinatown will be less crowded than San Francisco. I've been never been to Oakland's Chinatown before.

2-6 PM - back to San Francisco? Children's Playground in GGG? International Auto Show? Whatever, we'll just play it by ear

6 PM to whenever - Bam's place? S'mores?
