Well somthing that I have been waiting on for along time came into today... Finally it is mine... Yes I am weird, but this header and I have some history... Long story as short as possible... When I took my car to ZPI in May.. I was one of the first people in the counrty outside of the ZPI crew, to see the new ZPI prototype header.. Well I was supposed to have it put on my car along with my turbo kit... Since the header was new and unproven... Kenny decided to not take the chance of putting it on my car, because he didnt know what the extra power would do to the header.. ( ZPI looking out for its customers as always) So I had to stick with my DC Sports header... Well the Header was sent to a freind for some third pary testing... Well my freind was selling his xB so I got first dibs on the header.. and so me and this sexy @ss header meet again... On to pics....

so how is it? got any dyno sheets?? any prices yet??

 

Quality and look is awsome... I havent put it on the car yet, becuase my UPS man didnt arrive till after 8PM.. I think the power that the header made was around the same as all the other headers on the market. ZPI has not realesed the header yet, so there are is no price on them.. I will try and find out thou.

 

So your DC header will be sent to me once you install the ZPI one right?

 

Since I haven't seen the business end of a header since my short block Chevy days, is it just me, or does that collector pipe flange look kind of restrictive?

Okay gents I have some feelers out to the ZPI crew on price and availabilty of the headers... As soon as I know somthing, I will post it up.

 

thats a mighty fine looking header. way better quality than DC, i hate DC but at the time it was my only option

I wont complain to much about the DC Sports header it has done me well over the last 8 months... The only thing I would change about it is.. they need to put more than 3 tiny tach welds to hold the collector pipe on... Mine failed and fell into my downpipe and caused some other problems ...I had to have it rewelded on, but that sucker aint going anywhere now...

 

ya tis fine, its always worked, but i dont believe theres too much gain out of it

 

And this is true... If a company would come out with a full header back exhaust, including header... even if it was 2" or 2.25" back.. we would see some nice hp gains in the high RPM's.. now if this header was a 4to2to1 header we would see some impressive gains in both.. But a turbo with 2.5" back is always nice too..

 

The last time I put a part on before work, I ended up in crusin' about 300 miles!
